Connecticut State and Italian food go hand-in-hand, like spaghetti and meatballs. In the late 18th thru the early 20th centuries, A lot of Albanian’s immigrated to Italy for many year’s where they have gotten tremendous experience in Italian Cuisine. Later they flocked Italy to the USA looking for opportunities in the New World, and brought their culinary traditions along with them to neighborhoods that later became Little Italy and Hell's Kitchen. Philly's the owner of La Fortuna Bar and Restaurant she is one of them.

    Food was deliscious start to finish. Portions were extremely generous. Two of us had a pork chop special. Two large chops cooked perfectly with onions and peppers and a deliscious gravy with mashhed potatoes. Outstanding. Two has sea bass. Both said it was excellent. Service was very good. Deserts and coffee were good. A little noisy but when food is this good who cares. We will definitely be back.

    We sat at an outdoor table which was great because although it was pouring rain, we were still covered and dry! The food was delicious. The service was a little slow but it was because the restaurant was packed.

    The ambiance was great. Food was on point. staff were friendly and polite. I hope to return again soon. We had a party of 9 and the cost was very reasonable.

    Out party of 4 loved the lunch specials. Good value, large amount of choices and we had great service. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

    Very nice, quiet restaurant. The bar looks great. I sat at a table and had a wonderful meal of spaghetti and meatballs.
