Connecticut State and Italian food go hand-in-hand, like spaghetti and meatballs. In the late 18th thru the early 20th centuries, A lot of Albanian’s immigrated to Italy for many year’s where they have gotten tremendous experience in Italian Cuisine. Later they flocked Italy to the USA looking for opportunities in the New World, and brought their culinary traditions along with them to neighborhoods that later became Little Italy and Hell's Kitchen. Philly's the owner of La Fortuna Bar and Restaurant she is one of them.

    Meal was excellent , wait staff was great The only thing was they sat us right next to the bar which was very noisy. Was hard to have a conversation with my guest

    Ours was a large group - 11 and we were well served! Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we had many combinations! Would recommend LaFortuna as have several very memorable lunches there!

    Always a great meal. Maybe but better description of food. I have a food allergy and didn't realize they used the ingredient.

    We had a waiter that was very irritating. He asked us if we were ready to order and we said not yet and he gave us a look like you should order and get the heck out of here. We had to be moved because the sunroof glass ceiling was dripping on us. My friend and I use the restroom and were booted out of there because they were trying to wash the floors. This was at 9:40 PM. The food was just OK atmosphere not that great we won’t return.

    Food was delicious & the portions were outstanding. Tremendous value. They were very busy and could turn their tables much quicker if we didn’t have to sit for about 20 minutes after we were finished eating to get our check. Would have ordered dessert & coffee if someone came to our table to clear & ask if we wanted it.

    We got the chicken parm with vodka sauce on everything - our favorite. Fantastic, they nailed it
