La Foret offers fine French dining in an old country setting. We are proudly now offering outdoor dining!!!The historically significant building rests next to a quietly meandering stream in the verdant foothills of New Almaden. Picture windows surrounding the entire dining area allow you to fully enjoy the quietly beautiful surroundings during your meal. Specializing in fine French cuisine, La Foret has earned its place among the area's finest restaurants and in fact has been listed among the 50 best French restaurants in the United States.

La Foret ha an extensive wine list, which includes French and Napa Valley selections. It offers a tasting menu and brunch on Sundays.

This restaurant has private rooms for catering banquet-style private events. It also hosts weddings with capacity for up to 130 guests.

We don’t go here often but the food i always amazing when we do. Fresh meat that isn’t stuffed with hormones and the seafood isn’t farmed, instead it’s freshly caught in the wild. Amazing sauces with tons of spices and flavors. So good

Everything about our visit was very pleasant. I would suggest customers note the $50 corkage fee, when considering wine options.

Excellent service and delicious food. We were celebrating our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised to get a mini crème brûlée!

We visited on a busier Saturday night, but the staff service was impeccable and they made it such a great evening. Food was awesome, and server Alan was entertaining and helpful. Despite having a full dining room, they served us drinks while we waited and made it feel like a personal experience. Great place to celebrate special occasions.

From the time we arrived until the time we left we were treated wonderfully. The outside table was perfect, the atmosphere was great. They helped make my birthday extra special. The Salmon appetizer was delicious, the Ahi Ponzu was as well. We all had something a little different and every bite was amazing. We will definitely go back to celebrate other important events.

Our waiter Alan was incredible. I'd give him an outstanding for his service, but a minor detail knocks down his score. September 7th, we chose to make it special and dine here. My birthday was on the exact evening of my bday. We decided on no dessert. I've been to places where they came out to sing even with a candle and a cookie. You don't go out to spend $567 on dinner just because. The simplest gesture would have made a HUGE difference.

I have been unable to eat any beef for several years now due to my ulcerative colitis. I ordered the ahi tuna steak and I swear it both felt and tasted like I was biting into a cut of steak. I will be back VERY soon.
