Most of the food was served cold. There could have been more options. Its an utter waste to charge 125 per person for simply not so good food.

We had not been to La Fontaine for 6+ months, so were reminded how excellent this restaurant is. Food was delicious and portioned well since we were able to split the daily special appetizer with buratta, prosciutto, tomato and toast. Then each had a main. My wife enjoined the sole involtini with asparagus rolled inside the fish and a buttery caper sauce. I loved the spicy pasta with roasted eggplant. A glass of wine each topped off an enjoyable meal. Wait staff are incredible, friendly and knowledgeable.

Our dinner at La Fontaine was an absolute delight. The food was superb; the wait staff were helpful in sharing suggestions and guidance; the ambiance of the restaurant was reserved. It was our best meal thus far in Walnut Creek.

We had been here before and heard it was good. We tried again and it was just okay. The food was priced high but didn’t meet expectations. The duck was chewy and a poor cut perhaps. The special soul was good, my mushroom ravioli was fair. Service was slow….Wont go back…

This restaurant never fails to disappoint. They have a wonderful menu and every time I have dined there both for lunch and dinner the food, the service and the cocktails are delicious.

Burrata, Lamb and tiramisu were amazing. Great food and perfect service. Low noise level. Not super fancy ambiance. Made for a lovely dinner with friends.

It started off great. We arrived a little early and we had an early reservation (5 pm). We were seated by the window, it was raining out and quite cozy. A large party came in and they were seated on the opposite side of the restaurant which was nice. My husband and I were really enjoying ourselves, ordering a cocktail and appetizer before ordering our dinner. The food was all really good. Just as we were getting our dinner the hostess seats a man and woman with two young children right next to us. That's fine, however they were both on iPads listening out loud with no earbuds or headphones. When one of the iPads quit working the little boy went into crying hysterics until his mother could get it back on for him My complaint is more about the hostess. Seating the couple with the kids right next to an older couple, out having an early "quiet" dinner. It really did wreck what was originally a lovely evening. There were many other tables where they could have been seated and if they wanted a window there were two other tables in the other side of restaurant that had windows. Knowing where to sit people is important and I hope you use this as a moment to teach. Allowing children to listen to iPads out loud in your restaurant is also something I have not come across in other restaurants of this caliber. I don't mind paying a $240 bill for a good meal but it should not include having to listen to cartoons on an iPad.

Fairly quiet with low lighting, this was a good romantic spot for dinner. Lamb chops perfectly prepared medium rare. Vegetables delicious. Beet salad fresh and delicious too. Seafood risotto a bit bland but tasty. Service left something to be desired...very slow and no attention to details. Needed to as for table candle to be lit, 20 minutes between courses spent...I lole a leisurely pace with dining but this pace was irritating.
