We welcome our guests to an authentic Italian restaurant: here we offer traditional cuisine, with a modern take on northern and southern Italian recipes. Mauro, the chef, and his wife Tina, have an huge amount of experience behind them.

Mauro is from Naples, Tina was born in a little sicilian town near by Enna.
He began to learn everything about the southern cuisine by his experience in Naples since he was a child, from “Polipetti alla Luciana” to “Paccheri ai frutti di mare”. Furthermore he moved in Milan and he had the chance to learn the northern cuisine, from “Risotto ai funghi porcini” to “Polenta grigliata”, one of his favourite specialties!
From an ancient sicilian tradition, Tina learnt everything about the desserts by her grandmother and her mother, from “Millefoglie” to “Cannoli cake”.

A great dining experience. Amazing food , service and ambiance. An exceptionally professional and friendly serving staff. We had the opportunity to meet the owner Tina and were treated like family on our first dinner experience here. Definitely will return for many dinners and a great night out.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We love this little hidden gem in a strip mall on Clark road. Very unpretentious however once the food and service begins you can tell it is an upscale restaurant! The servers were wonderful and the owner came by regularly to check on us. The food was the shining star! Every single thing we ordered was wonderful and delicious! I ordered the paparadelli with sausage and mushrooms and oh my gosh so delicious!! Thank you for the delicious limoncello to finish off our evening, yum! We will be back and I'm already recommending it to friends!

What a wonderful little gem! The food was excellent and authentic Italian and portions were generous. The owners are from Italy and very friendly treating all their guests like they are family. Will definitely visit again!

We loved this place! The food is wonderful, the service was great. Don't pass this place up. This was the best restaurant we we visited while on vacation in Sarasota/Siesta Key. Too bad it was our last night there or we would have had to ear there again. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

It’s like you’re being welcomed into an Italian home with warm friendly service and fabulous fresh food. So satisfying and soul fulfilling. Highly recommended.

This was our first time at the restaurant and we had a great. Tina, the owner and wife of the chef, made us feel very welcome. She told us about her journey to Sarasota and gave us insight into the menu. She also treated us to her limoncello after dinner. We will definately return.

It's like being Sunday dinner with my family! Everyone makes you feel right at home from the minute you walk in. The food is magnificent! Everything on the menu is so beautiful. La Dolce Vita has become my favorite restaurant in town!!
