La Cucina is a NEW authentic Italian restaurant and pizzeria in the heart of downtown GUELPH.
Our chef Francesco Monaco has a passion for creating authentic Italian dishes using only high quality and fresh ingredients.
La Cucina Pizzeria will soon be your favorite spot to eat and hang out. The irresistible aromas from our custom-built Malagutti pizza oven will draw you in, and the delicious dishes that emerge from it will keep you coming back for more.
The Pizzeria will be serving more than just pizza: our menu includes antipasti, homemade pasta, and delicious main courses.

there was a hair in our food. but the waitress looked busy so we didnt want to send it back. it also felt like the waitress forgot about us a bit. beer was also brought out in the wrong glass.. just overall not good. will not be going back

Usually a pleasant experience but the staff need to be diligent on their table deliveries as huge blunders were made between two tables of four. Our wives ended up eating well before we did and the same for the table next to us. Al Dente should be exactly that but it wasn’t. Pasta was undercooked. Tiramisu looked like something scooped out of an ice cream tub. It should be layered and presented so the patrons can see the effort that went into it. Pizza was fantastic as always. Price point for this experience exceeded our expectations (too high).

Was extremely disappointed as we have eaten at this restaurant a few times now and the service and food has been tremendous. We arrived for our reservation was immediately sat at a table but it was almost 10 minutes before we finally had a sever stop by to ask if we wanted water. When the water was brought to the table we were asked if we wanted any apps and I said yes but we would love to order drinks as well. We received our apps before we ever got our drinks. We had to request bread with oil and balsamic from a different server. I expressed my disappointment to our server. I honestly felt like we were forgotten to begin with and then rushed to get rid of us. We were there to celebrate our son and his wife's first anniversary which I mentioned in the reservation. Zero mention about it or even asking if we were out for a reason. It felt like if we had sat on the patio we would have gotten better service. While the server said she was sorry, I think the manager could have stopped by given the issues with our meal. Not sure we will be back at this point.

Food and service are consistently excellent. This dining experience we decided to venture away from our “usuals”. The appetizer, BOCCONCINI DI PIZZA was good but could really use a red sauce to accompany the dish. Pork tenderloin was delicious and gnocchi, excellent as always. Food is always fresh and delicious and is go to for dinner in Guelph.
