About the Owner: Mr. Kulici is currently pursuing his professional career here in Louisiana. After 25 years he has devoted an exasperating amount of time and creativity to the art of food and hospitality. Consistency and culinary drive sets his goals to constant expansion and entrepreneur opportunities that are currently unfolding here in Louisiana. LaContea Italian Restaurant has now been open since February of 2017. The modern Italian ambiance and cuisine is touched with elements of traditionalism and flavor that brings more nuance to the idea of comfort Italian food.
Mr. Kulici just released his most recent updated seasonal menu as of November 2023.
With over 170 different wines to choose from, LaContea is constantly expanding its repertoire to create a masterpiece selection that truly has something for everyone and features service bar with classic brands and local distributions alike.

    Excellent Service . The food was very, very good. The steak was very tender, juicy, and super flavorful. Harold is an excellent waiter and very keen on when to be at the table and not to be at the table. Overall very nice experience and I will return again.

    It is a fantastic place to go for dinner. Anything from by yourself or a large party. (You will need to reserve that in advance.) Excellent live music on Friday and Saturday nights.

    Their restaurant week menu was fabulous and plus you got a free sangria with your restaurant week meal! A great value for $45. Service was amazing and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend this place for date night.

    Food was fantastic and so was the service! The table where we sat was not ideal as it was facing the entrance door, and also it was very close to where the wait staff congregated to chat. We will return soon and request a different spot in the restaurant.

    Upon arriving we were pleasantly surprised with the sound of the live piano. We were seated at the table closest to the musician. I started with the tomato soup which was excellent. This was our first time here. At Italian venues I like to first try the red sauce, marinara. It was at a whole other level. My wife had the grouper. It was equally exquisite. This will be a regular stop for us. It is a must try.

    One of two meals was good, the duck was tough and undercooked for confit. The server never checked on us, never refilled water, or cleared the table. He did not seem to care we were there.
