About the Owner: Mr. Kulici is currently pursuing his professional career here in Louisiana. After 25 years he has devoted an exasperating amount of time and creativity to the art of food and hospitality. Consistency and culinary drive sets his goals to constant expansion and entrepreneur opportunities that are currently unfolding here in Louisiana. LaContea Italian Restaurant has now been open since February of 2017. The modern Italian ambiance and cuisine is touched with elements of traditionalism and flavor that brings more nuance to the idea of comfort Italian food.
Mr. Kulici just released his most recent updated seasonal menu as of November 2023.
With over 170 different wines to choose from, LaContea is constantly expanding its repertoire to create a masterpiece selection that truly has something for everyone and features service bar with classic brands and local distributions alike.

    Food, service and atmosphere is always wonderful. Only negative comment would be that the great singer was a bit too loud. We always enjoy the entertainment but it was sometimes difficult to speak over the sound.

    Celebrated Valentines at La Contea. Have been there numerous times and they did not disappoint. Very good food and service. this is first time we have been there since Alfred became owner/executive chef and the food has only gotten better if that is possible. My favorite Italian place in Baton Rouge/.

    Food was perfect. Busy night so the noise level was up and service a bit slower than usual. Also there's usually going to be the 1 exuberant patron who had to make a spectacle of herself 🙄. But all worth it as the regular pleasurable experience

    Food was fine (mussels were a little old tasting but the sauce was great and the Osso Bucca was dry, ironically) but great ambiance and service.

    The restaurant week selection wasn’t the best. The service wasn’t great either, just slow. We will try again and order from the regular menu.

We were unaware that there were any issues with your service last night and we are sorry that our management staff and also our chef owner was not informed when he stopped by your table. We take these situations very seriously and would have addressed this issue immediately.     Overall a very good experience. Food, service, and atmosphere on point. The live music was a nice touch. My only regret is that I didn’t try the Brussels sprouts. Next time.

    Food was excellent, but we were disappointed that there was no live music on a Saturday night. We will definitely return.

    Although the Brussels sprouts , arancini , chicken Parmesan, eggplant Parmesan and filet were good, the sensation salad was pretty tasteless and appeared to be only shredded lettuce. The live entertainment was wonderful, waiter was prompt and attentive.
