The food was good. We had the tuna tartare and the octopus for appetizers. The octopus was delicious, the tuna tartare had no flavor. For the main course, we had the ribeye which I must admit was cooked perfectly medium as requested and was tender and delicious. The brussel sprouts side was blackened and hard. Yuck! The asparagus was adequate, nothing special about it. The truffle fries were hard and the portion was disappointing The Parmesan crusted potatoes were also good. The biggest letdown were the drinks. We literally got a 1/4 glass of wine and the smallest glass ever of the Buscando Guayaba. It was sugary sweet and little to no alcohol. Horrible and sad for the price. The service was okay. The host looked depressed and none of the servers had any energy. I don’t think it’s worth the price and won’t be returning.

Second time there, for a very special celebration (my father’s 81st birthday) and it was perfect! Even the wait for the table gave my parents some time to enjoy the Distrito’s vibe and dance a little bit before dinner!!! The staff was gracious enough to give us one round from the bar while we waited, and they gave my dad a birthday card and his dessert was delivered with a birthday message and a lit candle, without even asking!! My mom wanted her beef more “done” while sharing with my father who likes his beef rare, so they offered to take her piece separately to be done as she wanted. The staff is well-trained but also very committed to deliver a great experience.

Our reservation was for 8pm on my birthday and we were seated promptly and given menus. We asked for water after about 20 minutes and our waitress still hadn’t greeted us. After placing an appetizer order, no one returned to check in. We finished appetizers and I had to stop our waitress to ask if we can place our entree order. She seemed surprised to have forgotten to take the order. We observed almost each table around us receive their food before us. Our waitress assured us the next plates would come to us at about 9:50 but we saw yet another table get served. We got a manager involved that explained our food “technically hadn’t taken 2 hours,” without acknowledging that eating entrees 2 hours after a reservation is slow service that lacked attention. We didn’t receive our entree until after 10pm, my birthday wasn’t acknowledged, the food was just okay, and we weren’t comped for anything. With over 15 years of hospitality and customer service experience, this wasn’t the experience I expected nor would I ever allow at any of my establishments. Management should consider pace training the staff and staying closer to the customer journey.

Came here with my pregnant wife and sat in view of the open kitchen. As we were waiting on our food, I noticed one of the chefs was using the same cutting board and tools for raw meat AND cooked meat. 100% food contamination. I tried to talk to the server, the QA (expo), and the manager, and they did not know what to do. The chef was continuing to use the same area and they were serving the cooked meat from the same place as the raw! He was doing it in front of everyone and they did not address it, even more worrisome, they did not see it as a big problem? We asked for our check and left to get food somewhere else. Luckily they did not make us pay for the appetizer or the drinks. Scary. I hope they do not poison anybody 😬

The restaurant is beautiful, outstanding customer service, amazing cocktails specially the espresso martinis and great ambience but we were a party on 11 and there was not even 1 plate that anybody could rank better than “acceptable” the ribeye was cold in the middle, the pegadito rice was impossibly greasy, the salads and other meat cuts were “ok” but definitely not worth the over $1,600 check. Some of us ended up back at the hotel eating sushi at the Lobby’s restaurant.
