Le restaurant La Caille est la première expérience gastronomique de luxe de l'Utah. Situé sur une propriété de 8 hectares parmi les plus convoitées de Salt Lake, le Little Cottonwood Canyon, La Caille offre une vue à couper le souffle, des jardins bien entretenus, les rivières du canyon, des vignobles luxuriants, des sentiers de briques sinueux et un authentique décor français. Service and location/ambiance was amazing! Just thought the food (steak) was pretty average. Fun going for the first time ever.

An absolutely beautiful place. Magically placed in the canyon of two mountain peaks, surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife like swans and peacocks. The restaurant itself is old world and elegant. The food was absolutely excellent; all of it. Meg served us and made us feel comfortable and at home. 11 out of 10. C’est Magnifique!!!

I grew up going to La Caille in the late 80s and early 90s but moved away from Utah. I’m aware of the change in ownership. Last year, I returned for the first time in almost 30 years and had a generally positive experience. This year, I went back again, however it seems that the restaurant has gone down hill, which I had heard. The ambiance is still as lovely as ever, but that is the strongest attribute the restaurant has to offer. The wine menu and service is severely lacking. They seem to have invested heavily in a private label program that was not of interest and offer some higher end Old World bottles but nothing to write home about. I ordered an older bottle of good wine, only to have a waitress attempt to open it unsuccessfully with a wine key at the table as if it were an ordinary bottle off the shelf. My fault for ordering it. The entrees were bland. The bouillabaisse was seafood stock only with no tomato or seasoning. The truffle risotto itself was hard and served in a thick, lumpy sauce with seemingly no truffle at all. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, especially given the memories of going so long ago and having held the restaurant in high regard since. There is a lot of potential, but someone has to seize upon it.

We’ve been visiting La Caille for many years and have always enjoyed the experience. Our Server Meg was fabulous and really added to our enjoyment of the evening. The food is always amazing!

La Caille far exceeded our expectations! We celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday and their Sunday Brunch was perfect. The food spectacular, the setting, AMAZING, and the staff delightful. You have to go in knowing that it is very pricey, and we could have shared dishes more than we did. Highly recommend!
