La Cabrera by Gaston Riveira, the internationally acclaimed and multi award-winning restaurant from Argentina recently opened it’s first location in Miami.
Gastón Riveira decided to undertake this journey against all the prognosis for his country's economic situation, because he had a clear vision: he wanted to transform the typical Buenos Aires grill into, something that would stand out from the rest, but not only because of the quality of the product but for giving people a unique and unforgettable experience.
“La Cabrera is a creative space where I can express myself and look for new dishes, but also it is the place where I give myself the pleasure of not only revamping and improving but also diversifying the classic dishes that I am so passionate about”.
The secret is in the way we grill using special techniques and experimenting with new things all the time. La Cabrera is a baroque neighborhood bistro, with an atmosphere that mixes history.

We arrived on time, wanted to dine, explained to server we wanted food spaced out, not in a hurry! We may not have been in a hurry, but server either ignored or she was in a hurry to turn over the table. Ordered - bottle of wine to enjoy and no sooner we started with the wine, the food arrived! So much for spacing! Food was good, ribeye had lots of fat, just ok! We were finishing wine when we ordered coffee, but explained again, not right away, but there it was! I felt rushed, not a good experience and server needs to be a better listener.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at La Cabrera. First of all, the service was outstanding, our server was courteous, informative and helped us to choose well. The size of the portions are generous, so, plan to share. The meat was tender and tasty and the accompaniments (courtesy of the chef) were many and interesting. We loved the baba ghanoush and tapenade. I suggest La Cabrera to add at least one typical Argentinian special per day, I would love to have matambrito de cerdo a la parrilla or any other delicacies of the Argentinian cuisine. On the dessert side, I suggest panqueque de manzana al rum. Finally, we were happy to see many happy customers sharing the space with us.

Great food, quality and taste. We went for my birthday and they served us a complimentary dessert! Good service, but they sometimes forgot to serve water and ice.

We had a wonderful lunch at La Cabrera in sunny isles. From the moment you sit down, you are immediately pampered with warm bread and delicious dips. We ordered 2 large skirt steaks to share and 2 great salads. Everything was amazing. For dessert we had the dulce de leche crepes and the warm chocolate cake with ice cream. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and the service is top.
