In 1987 La Brasa opened its doors on the lively Haarlemmerdijk in Amsterdam, located on walking distance from the Central Station, the famous Dam area and the Jordaan.
Soon it became a very popular Argentine charcoal grill restaurant with a homely and friendly atmosphere.
Specially because of the high quality meat they serve, imported from Argentina, is absolutely worth it to visit La Brasa. The meals are prepared with great care and served - together with the charcoal items - with French fries, rice, special fried potatoes, fresh vegetables etc.
Besides the fixed menu, you may also go for the Every Day Special Menu.
Once you have chosen one of the delightful charcoal dishes you shouldn't miss the tasty Argentine wine!

                                                                                                                                                      I booked this restaurant as it appeared as one of the recommended. It was a huge disappointment in every criteria. The food was average, very basic, meet was ok but not more than this. The price is too high for the output.

                                                                                                                                                      I have been to Argentina, I don’t think the steak is really from Argentina. I asked the owner and he told me it was, however it did not have the flavor and texture of pampas feed beef. So too bad they may have lied to me, because the owner was a nice guy.

It’s a restaurant in a storefront on a side street in Amsterdam. Small business, but everything was great.

The menu is in Spanish, Dutch and English but the staff willing to work with you to find what you are looking for.

Ambience was nice and the service kind. The only thing I would improve is better air quality. Besides that everything was great

                                                                                                                                                      The staff were nice but the cooking and value for money was very poor. We ordered 4 steaks and all were miss-cooked, some were raw in the middle and there was absolutely no seasoning on the food. I usually don’t review but I feel that the cook really needs to be informed of their mistakes - seasoning is a basic necessity especially with steaks and it was just not done leading the steak to be bland and flavourless. The location is good but the value for money is not - this place needs to work a bit on their product!

                                                                                                                                                      Walked in and walked back out - didnt eat here so cant comment on the food but the setup wasnt good. The tables weren't clean. Plates were stacked up on another table and there was an open cupboard with an assortment of different things. Wasn't appealing in the slightest.
