I searched for a speakeasy to visit during my extended layover in Panama and La Barbara did not disappoint! The design of the space, playlist, and service were amazing! Huge note that their kitchen is open pretty late so no worries there. But can I talk about the drinks!! There were so good we had to get another round 🙂 Overall an amazing experience for all 5 senses. A definite must visit! Apologies as I don’t recall the names of the staff who were beyond hospitable but many thanks to you all. ♥️

Great food, the service was not what I expected. Only one waitress for all the tables. The wine service lacked knowledge of wine. The place is nice. And the noise level adequate. Other problem was a few of the tables were too close to each other. They had to move me after one hour.

Love the new spot, the food was amazing like always. Felt the staff a little lost and couldn’t handle all the reservations and was a little confusing the whole service. Amazing decoration and perfect for date night!

While the food and ambience were great, we unfortunately had a bad experience at this very cool, speak-easy, resto in Casco Viejo. I do believe this place is working out kinks, and ultimately they attributed the problems we experienced to the "soft launch" they were having with new servers. I do expect this will be a great place once their growing pains resolve but truly hard to give a better review right now. Very yummy appetizers came quickly and were bomb, but then we waited over 1.5 hours for our mains, watching other patrons be served, finish their meals and leave, while we were completely ignored by the server. When we asked repeatedly about our order, we were essentially ignored. It wasn't until we stood up and were ready to leave and pay for what we owed for the apps that one of the owners showed up and apologized profusely, explaining that unfortunately, our order had never been entered into the system. While he made it right, the experience overall was super disappointing.

Loved our experience here! Good was amazing. I loved the cocktails. Family friendly (with well behaved/traveled kids)… excellent service. Loved the vibe!
