I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and service! The establishment is so old that I thought it would be equivalent to the old spaghetti factory, smelly, old with quality being something lost 20 years ago. The food was great and I was shocked how busy it was on a Sunday night. We were at the Teppanyaki table and it was entertaining along with delicious and a tremendous amount of food!

It was fun, but has lost some of its entertainment value. I’ve never seen chef dump all the veggies precut and from a bin! Isn’t that what they are there for? We have been going since 80’s and we saw zero knife skills. I could have cut meat better! When did they start adding red/yellow peppers and broccoli and no more bean spouts? Is this a mash up of ALL Asian vegetables now? Not good at all! I like those veggies, but when did you start adding them? The salad was mostly middle white and not good. No attention to detail. Servers seemed very average too…. Also. I don’t get the multiple flings of shrimp at customers. We will see if 3 shots at new shirt come out?! She wasn’t even close! Kinda silly! It was a new shirt! The chef at table next to us was wayyyy too loud. Do you really need to bang that much? No skill, just too much unnecessary noise! So glad it was only our family. I would have been really embarrassed to take guests!! Will not be back… another local gem ruined by cutting corners. Feel ripped of since it was my pick and my special occasion. Not many good places left you can get consistently good service and food. Family must have sold is all I can think… Lastly, have ventilation checked! It doesn’t work! Still can’t get passed a cooking table chef not cut in front of ON the hot cooking table. They have better vegetables cuts at panda! No consistency and not fresh! So wrong on every level. Makes me feel like an idiot for going along with it! I was stuffed if the furthest back corner and couldn’t have left if I wanted to. It can not be to code in that corner!

Such a fun experience, my boyfriend and I make a point to do this a few times a year! Great for big groups- be prepared it’s very loud. Our chef Armando crushed it as he always does. Food was delish.

Kyoto Scottsdale exceeded our expectations It was our first time there, and we had no clue on how to order. Waiters patiently took the time to explain the menu to us. we were a party of seven and only four of us had arrived on time and the rest of the group was 25 minutes late kyoto Scottsdale made us feel very welcome and gave us time to wait for the rest of the group so Chef could start the show. It’s definitely going to be one of our number one places to go when in need of having a good time.

Good food and good service but it’s very loud so you have to talk really loud to the person next to you, so not a place if you want to converse. Also, it’s very very Smokey inside, other places have better ventilation but their food isn’t good here you have the opposite
