John at the sushi counter really took care of us and guided us thru dinner. Live scallops were the star of the evening. Drinks were awesome, just a little different than ur usual. Staff were very attentive

I loved the A5 Waygu Roll and the Mexican Roll. The customer service was top tier. The manager and our server went above and beyond to accommodate us. They made sure we had a pleasurable experience. In fact, this place has the best customer service of any restaurant in DC. Good customer service out here is hard to come by. With all the wonderful things this place has to offer, I still left desiring more from the food, but I still managed to find my favorites on the menu. I’d return to try more options.

Service was outstanding. Qyuen was an excellent server and went above and beyond to help us with our sake and sushi orders! The food is good but is on the pricey side which would be ok if the music wasn't turned up to Ulta levels. By the time we left, 2 people in our party didn't have voices because unless your screaming like your at an NFL Playoff game, you wont hear a word. If they fix the ambiance this place would easily rise to 5 stars as a high end special occasion option.

You know what I don’t like - - attitude. You know what else I don’t like - - upselling. You know what else else I don’t like - - servers turning on you when you don’t bite. Really don’t appreciate being judged for not wanting to drop a lot of cash on drinks - - I enjoy sake but I am by no means a connoisseur. We had made reservations through OpenTable a few hours earlier for a Tuesday evening dinner. The restaurant has multiple dining rooms and a comfortable vibe - - we were seated at a table in the back where it was quiet and relaxing . Our server was pleasant to start - - but be prepared for an overwhelming amount of menu explaining. Some people like that sort of thing. I don’t. We ordered drinks (a beer and glass of sake) and several small dishes to share and our small table quickly became cramped and overwhelmed as everything arrived. The food was absolutely delicious. The spicy miso soup with scallops was flavorful. The watermelon daikon was crisp and tasty but maybe a little too salty for me. Scallop Salad super yummy. The sushi rolls we ordered had a lot of the ingredients piled on top so make sure to divide it up evenly to ensure the full experience. They seem to have a lot of rules. Had to give a credit card when I made reservations. They also made it clear that children are not welcome and there’s some kind of dress code. I’m guessing street parking would be difficult. Bathrooms in a back corner.

Top notch sushi, but the kitchen gets back up easily. I went for my birthday and didn’t get my comped birthday dessert because we were told it would take “a while” to come out and we had . Overall good vibes, but be prepared to be patient if it’s a busy night.
