Always go for coffee! Love the espresso drinks!First time for brunch and was not disappointed. Food was delicious and service was great! Dalia always greets with a big smile!

There was a very soulful and fine guitar player filling the attractive, open space with with the songs of Central and South America. A warmth and feeling of community abounded. The food was great and i'd never had grasshopper tacos before!

The food was excellent across the board. Would strongly recommend starting with the fried olives, followed by the patatas bravas and kielbasa. The grasshopper tacos and sopes are also wonderful. Don't get turned off by the grasshoppers, they are amazing! The cocktails are also great, especially the chai espresso martini and la lechera (both excellent choices to accompany dessert). Speaking of, the rum toffee cake with vanilla ice cream was divine. The service was also phenomenal. Our server was Dalia, one of the owners, and she was very helpful in providing suggestions for what to try (they were all fantastic). She was very friendly, warm, and welcoming, and enhanced the entire experience. If you are in Chelsea looking for a place to eat before a show or concert, you should definitely try Kushala!

Great new place wiht excellent food and very comfortable and nicely set up for a cup of coffee, a drink or just a bite to eat. Looking forward to coming back.

Was excited to try this new coffee house by day, tapas bar by night establishment in Chelsea — was not disappointed! For dinner, the tapas like coffee mole chicken, bone marrow, and patatas bravas were fresh and flavorful and the cocktails were delicious too. Definitely make sure you try the chai espresso martini … delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Love the ambiance! It's very alive and welcoming. The drinks were strong, delicious & unique, just remember Sangria is best served chilled. Love the small plates gives the opportunity to try more dishes. The potatoes were amazing, though there were a few that were under cooked. Chicken Mole was phenomenal with a side of pickled red onion and blue corn hand made tortillas! The Sopes (are vegetarian) were a hit as well, the masa consistency was perfect, golden outside and soft & crunchy texture. Our server was very nice and attentive. Was a little disappointed that she was not very knowledgeable of the menu and did not know the correct pronunciation of some menu items. I believe that is very important part of any food business, we as customers will rely on our server to know what they are serving us. Overall had a lovely experience and you've definitely found forever patrons here! We wish you all the best of luck!
