Plant based Omakase Sushi restraurant in West La featuring Executive Chef Dillon Bolin and Head Chef Pearl Steffie.

Signature dishes include our Avocado Crispy Rice, Maitake Wontons in Spicy Garlic, our Torched Miso Eggplant Nigiri and Torched Tuna Nigiri made from peas.

Minimalist beautifully designed restaurant with a 87 year old bonsai in the middle. We offer Omakase and al carte dining. Hidden gem with a speakeasy style type of location, serving beer, wine and cocktails.

Fan favorite is our Shishito Burger, named one of the best vegan burgers in town. While plant based, Kusaki and the dishes we serve mimics and tastes like real high end sushi. Art, redefined as food.

Wow. What an amazing experience. The food was absolutely incredible. If you’re a vegan, it’s a no brainer! Come here. We did the 15 course Omikase and not a single bad dish. I particularly loved the street corn tacos, tuna gunkan and their Kobe beef inspired plate with cauliflower mash (Cooke with coconut milk or oil or something delicious and, honestly, a flavor combo I didn’t know I needed till now!). Chef’s Pearl and Pablo were terrific, warm and masterful. I definitely will be back to try some of the a la carte menu items.

Had an amazing Omakase dinner at Kusaki. The attention to detail in the kaiseki was incredible. Everything looked and tasted so good, and our chef was a delight. We will definitely be back, with friends in tow.

Kusaki is one of the most exciting & creative restaurants in which I've ever had the pleasure of dining. Three years went into developing the menu. And, you can definitely taste the passion. I was deeply impressed by the balanced combination of high-quality ingredients. The flavor and texture palettes are perfect. Pro tip ~ sit at the counter and enjoy watching Chef Pearl and Chef Pablo in action. And, they're more than happy to answer your questions. Enjoy!!

Kusaki is an excellent Japanese vegan restaurant. The menu is diverse with many appealing dishes of all tastes and sizes. The ambiance is very pleasant with upbeat but not overbearing music. The service is fantastic!

The vegan omakase sushi at this place was out of this world! My friend and I were in sushi heaven with every bite. The staff were so friendly that we felt like part of the family, and the prices didn’t make our wallets cry. We'll definitely be back for more sushi goodness.
