KUMOYA, is a Japanese Kitchen and Sushi Restaurant, the passion project of renowned sushi chef Corey Baker in collaboration with Max Mackissock, located in the heart of LoHi. We specialize in traditional sushi and innovative izakaya-style dishes with a modern Japanese twist. Our kappo-style dining concept allows guests to curate their own culinary adventure. Chefs Corey Baker and Max Mackissock draw inspiration from Kaiseki cuisine, celebrating the seasons and micro-seasons inherent in sushi and Japanese cooking, resulting in a dynamic, ever-evolving menu.

The sushi was amazing. Everything we ate had us wanting more. Very fresh sushi no complaints at all. Everyone should try the miso eggplant even if you don’t like eggplant. It is the best eggplant you have ever had. 10/10 recommend

When you combine service, great food, and a good atmosphere it makes for the perfect evening. Kumoya did just that. There were menu items never seen before and unique variations of rolls and sushi that made for amazing combinations. By far my new favorite sushi restaurant!

Place was great! Food and drinks were fantastic. If you want some good Nigiri and drinks with an upscale nice vibe. This is the place!

The food, cocktails, and service were perfect. The staff is very knowledgeable and the sushi is so fresh. We ordered things you can’t get in many places and followed some staff recommendations. We were celebrating our anniversary and couldn’t ask for a better experience. Can’t wait to go back!

The staff was very good at describing the different menu items. The fish is flown in daily and taste so fresh. They also do dry aged raw fish, which I have never had before. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly as well as knowledgeable.

Server seemed to be distracted but the rest of the staff made up for it! GM, food runners, and host were all astounding. Some of the best sushi I have ever had!!
