Mediocre is the word of the day. The food isn’t bad, but was uninspiring and lacking flavor. Had the Frita Burger, what they say is a Cuban classic, and despite them saying it had a Chorizo Jam and special chorizo sauce, I couldn’t taste it at all. For having to pay a deposit to get a reservation, it’s not worth it. Service was slow, but likely because one waiter was covering so many tables.

We were seated in an area surrounded by several occupied tables that were being taken care of by the same server. The server never came to our table despite it being obvious we had menus and were waiting for service. We waited about fifteen minutes and saw all of the other tables served including those seated after us. I can’t believe they didn’t notice us as we were right in the center. We had dined here in March and loved it but after today’s visit will never go back.

5 stars if they had a bathroom. Actually they do have a bathroom but the waitress politely told us it’s for employees only ???!?!

Overall we liked the place, tuna tartar was delicious and red snapper fillet was pretty good. The thing we did not like is the portion of the side dish, we took two orders of French fries and the size of it was smaller than kids meal. Also, the skirt steak medium done was chewy. The service was so so. The restaurant does not have a bathroom and nowhere to wash hands other than mall restaurant that you need to walk at least 7’minutes. I asked about wet napkins to wipe hands before meal, which they also did not have. When we asked bill they offer us to leave tip 3 or 5 or 7% tip on the portable credit card machine, from which we understood the check included the tip, which is fine, but we did not know how much we being charged already. When we asked how much is already included in the check the waiter had difficulty to answer us, after multiple questions she said it is 20%.

Noise level was confortable for outdoor seating along the wharf. Both the restaurant's music set a pleasant and festive atmosphere along with the music from nearby Pier 5's live band. Friendly and accommodating staff. Saludos al chef! Muchísimas gracias a todos!

We dined on the deck over the water, so it was a beautiful view seeing boats coming in/out. We didn’t realize we were so close to the stage of the outdoor mall, so it was much louder than anticipated. Some may appreciate that, though. The food was very good! We liked that there was traditional food with some enhancements, but not anything one wouldn’t recognize. The service was quite poor, but we found that consistent with practically every restaurant in Miami. Barely polite and nothing congenial. Felt like we were inconveniencing them. Which also explains why so many restaurants there build in the tip, since they probably won’t earn one.

My wife and I had an early dinner prior to a Miami Heat game at the nearby arena. We made reservations and soon the restaurant was packed. We shared the Cuban appetizer sampler plate so we could enjoy a variety of new to us dishes. We liked the variety, found the food to be tasty and enjoyed the various dipping sauces that came with the sampler. The atmosphere is very lively and the tables are close together so don’t expect a quiet evening. The service was adequate and my cocktail from their craft cocktail list was well prepared and tasty. If you are looking for something different, we recommend.
