A multifaceted Asian dining destination in the heart of Mayfair. Discover our fiery Thai dining and our Izakaya style KOYN bar.

Something exciting is coming to the cosmos of KOYN.
In June, our subterranean dining space will transform into KOYN Thai in collaboration with Bangkok born chef, Rose Chalalai Singh. The new restaurant will celebrate the flavours, spices and cooking techniques of Thailand.

KOYN Thai will sit underneath its Japanese counterpart, in the basement of the Grosvenor Street Residence, offering a menu that captures the essence of Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and the central provinces.

Rose, known for her Parisian private dining restaurant, Rose Kitchen, and having catered for
some of the world’s greatest fashion and art talent - from Vogue Paris fashion events to The
Gagosian - will make her London debut at KOYN Thai.

The first thing to know is that there are two restaurants at Koyn one Thai and one Japanese I suppose I didn’t pay proper attention because I thought you could order off either menu but they’re separate Thai downstairs. Japanese is upstairs. We’re not too familiar with Thai menus so found it a little hard to order. My wife. Got a delicious aubergine dish. Very smoky fantastic. I ordered this massive prawn looked like one of those things you see at Selfridge’s food hall maybe that’s where they got it delicious The soup is a different story that was a fight to the death. For most of the meal the soup was winning. It was so hot and spicy, but in the end, I conquered it.

Outstanding food, esp would recommend the lamb shank curry. Very attentive service.

Far from the level of the japanese restaurant. The dowstairs room is sad, the food is really not good compare to other good quality thai. Service and pice are ok, but really not worthful to go !

Food is very good, a bit on spicier side. Wine selection is great. Service can be better. “We dont change anything in the recipe” (first thing we were told in an unfriendly manner). The place is very congested, so dont look for a quiet dinner here. Crab curry is superb, as is the beef pepper fry. Overall a good experience once in a while.

Fantastic experience at Koyn Thai restaurant. We went with the tasting menu - the yellow crab curry was phenomenal and our other favorites were the chicken satay, crispy prawn cakes, and mango sticky rice. If you are sensitive to spice, definitely ask about dishes when you order. When we ordered the tasting menu, the server didn't go over spice level with us and some dishes were definitely spicier than expected (we did not expect the Pomelo salad to be spicy at all). Obviously at a Thai restaurant we expected spicy food, so not a big deal, we were just surprised at a couple of dishes.

Service needs a lot of improvement including attention to detail. Food is average. Restaurant not worth being on Conde Naste List.

great food, great service, i will definitely go back. The only thing I did not enjoy was the strange cocktail special with Vegan Cheese on the ice cube. It was not great. Otherwise brilliant experience.
