Initally not very busy so quiet, but as it filled up it’s a rather small space and got loud. Sitting at the “Counter” is part of the fun, the servers behind the counter make the drinks, some of the appetizers and plate the desserts. Cocktails were reasonably priced. Really enjoyed the food, had the smoked tuna poke appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. The entrees were delicious albeit a tad on the small side. But it left room for dessert!

Food I always presented beautifully which is only out done by the amazing flavor profiles you get with every bite! Staff super friendly and this place will become your favorite too

We celebrated my husbands birthday there. Food and service were great and they read the open table notes(no one does ) and saw I marked it was for his bday. They had a card on the table for him. It was an extra touch that made it special

Food and service were great. A little too loud for my liking on the inside so me and my date decided to sit outside. Our server was attentive and very friendly. We tried the pear martini and cheer wine sangria. The sangria got better as i drunk it but didn’t have much cheerwine flavor. I took a sip of the pear martini which was decent as well. I ordered the hangar stank, it was pretty good i ordered medium well. I enjoyed the vinaigrette paired with the steak and fried potato. My date ordered the blackened trout which had great flavor. In my opinion the Parmesan corn was the star of the show. They also provided a free birthday desert for my date. Overall this was a great experience and would totally recommend this place to anyone in the area !

Where to begin! From the time we sat down at the counter to when we left it was such a great experience. Loved the atmosphere as soon as you walked in it felt alive and welcoming. We started off strong with some cocktails. We started off with the Winter is coming and Rose colored glasses. The Pear martini was absolutely delicious! Then it was time to order some of the shareable items. We started with the Char grilled oysters, chicken and waffle sushi the smoking tuna poke. These were on point. We did also get the cauliflower nugs and they were cooked to perfection and the dipping sauces were spot on. The experience of watching your tuna poke being made in front of you was amazing. Being at the counter and being to interact with Chef Rob was the best! We then went to our main meal and did blackened Carolina trout and dirty rice. This was the best trout I have ever had, cooked to perfection and flaky. We also had the 17 herb seared hangar steak. We of course had to end the night with dessert as we had a front row seat them being made all night. We went with Mom's chocolate pie and the Cheesecake cannoli. It was such an amazing night of food, drink, and conversation. We will be back!!

This is one of my favorite places. Has a varied menu. Definitely not a chain. Last night we have the fried feta. It was amazing. My beau had the ribs and he truly enjoyed them. Sadly I ordered the duck quesadilla. The waitress explained that they were a bit spicy. I got three tacos that tasted like dog food. Bland as anything - flavorless. The waitress didn’t return until my beau had finished his meal - when I explained why I didn’t eat she did offer another item - but it was 20 minutes after we had been served. I didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes or so…they were left on the bill. It will be a long time before I return- if ever.

Last night Kounter hit a grand slam. We both tried new menu items. They were bursting with flavor. Kounter is our favorite place for date night. We love Chef Rob and is incredible staff!
