Bar Koukla is a casual and intimate snack bar setting on the popular Ossington strip. A space where traditional touches merge effortlessly with contemporary design. Our interpretation of the classic Athenian mezedolpoleio mixes authentic meze, a raw seafood bar, a natural and oraganic wine list and cocktails inspired by the Athenian metroploitan culture.

Bar Koukla (and Mamakas) are the best restaurants imaginable... the food is outstanding, the service is great, the music amazing... What more does one need? Koukla menu is always a surprise... things change, some stay and the food is beyond expectation.. the ambience and music at Bar Koukla is enchanting for ALL AGES!!! I recommend all who appreciate fine dining and great fun to experience Bar Koukla!!

Delightful meal with out of town visitors. First time for all of us. Small-ish menu but all items superbly prepared.

Been here several times and honestly the best brunch. The baklava pancakes are a must!!! We're also obsessed with the spanakopita. Highly recommend this spot !

We sat outside on a perfectly sunny day. The tables are small, but it didn't matter as our server was attentive enough to keep the dishes cleared. She also recommended great bottles of wine, which made their 1/2 price special even better. The food always amazing.

Since Koukla is a sister restaurant of Mamakas next door, I was expecting it to be great. It was decent, but nothing special. The menu was a bit limited. The food was pretty tasty and the drinks were good. Service was also very good. The seating was a bit awkward. It doesn't really compete with so many other really good Toronto restaurants.

Very pretty restaurant with beautiful decor. The food is Greek inspired with interesting twists, the chefs take it seriously and it shows. Bravo. We went for brunch and each dish was innovative, the Baklava Pancakes were wonderful as were the Truffle Koulouri Eggs. The thing to remember when visiting is...the restaurant comes with a name, and the staff know it. Under the same ownership as Mamakas across the street, these are very "cool" and "trendy" restaurants that have established names and reputations. Unfortunately, this leads to a cold, if not unwelcoming, feel from the staff. The actual paying customers are treated more like an afterthought and a disposable decoration than a welcome guest. You're in, you sit, your plates are extremely quickly cleared, you're constantly asked if you want anything more and then you're out the door. Thank you. Smile. Especially when you show and interest and order several dishes as well as drinks and coffee, as my wife and I did, you would be forgiven to hope for service that feels warm and inviting. But don't expect it, we certainly didn't receive it. Bottom line is mixed reviews. Koula is a solid restaurant, not groundbreaking by any means, and the service may let you down. But it is a worthwhile place to visit, I would not sway anyone away from it, you'll enjoy the lovely atmosphere and the food.

Delicious food in a cozy setting! Our server was very helpful and food came very quickly. Definitely a great spot for special occasions.
