KONA Steak & Seafood was voted the "Best New Restaurant" winner on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula for 2023. Located in the popular Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey, just minutes from Carmel, Pacific Grove, & all Peninsula cities.
A fabulous menu! Enjoy fresh seafood, lobster, Hawaiian loco moco, fresh ahi tuna, a great bacon cheeseburger, bone-in rib eye, miso-glazed seabass, filet mignon, macadamia nut crusted halibut, entree salads, cioppino, seafood pasta, Maui onion soup, coconut curry soup, and a large host of enticing appetizers. Enjoy KONA's generous portions, good value, & free abundant parking! The house baked desserts are worth a trip on their own..... incredible!! The gorgeous "ZenDen Bar" features full bar & "Tiki Bar" style concoctions curated with house made ingredients, and nightly Happy Hour from 3:00-9:00pm. We came for a doube birthday celebration. First time here food and service were excellent. Decent vegetarian choices.

Every single time, without fail, the service, food, and atmosphere are perfection. First time bringing a puppy. They server brought my dog fresh water and I ordered her unseasoned grilled chicken. The Caesar salad with jumbo shrimp was delicious. The other items ordered were equally enjoyed.

We love this place! My husband and I and our 7 year old son. He loves the dry ice dessert the best. They were kind to make a modified kids meal for our picky son. Our food always tastes great. We have had the NY steak, fish tacos, raw salmon dish. All delicious. Staff very friendly too and it is a family friendly restaurant.

The food was incredible and the portions were large. Our server, Matin, was very attentive and answered our numerous questions about the menu and made excellent recommendations - I am so glad I listened to him and got the macadamia nut crusted halibut, it was to die for! Casual setting with gourmet food and excellent service. All around a fantastic experience!

went to celebrate a birthday and was very disappointed, my server was not present through out the whole experience and when we asked for extra sauce and water the person left and never came back out with what we needed had to wait near kitchen door to finally get some extra sauce for the dry chicken.

Not as special as it used to be. Two instances of the wrong order coming back to the table. A guest’s plate was taken away to replace an incorrect side, while everyone had to wait to start eating. I updated our reservation on the morning of, but the updates were ignored and host/manager seemed agitated when I mentioned it. I recognize it’s not ideal but we had to change our chosen time to make the update, that’s open table’s app, not my choice. I guess I’ll call next time in addition to the app.
