One and done - looking for a place to have a nice Christmas dinner we decided to try Kona Grill. When we got there for our 5pm reservations the place was fairly empty and quiet. While looking over the menu we had to ask for water, then ask for lemon. We had a quick laugh that they had multiple TVs around showing the games but from our booth every TV had a hanging lamp in front of it. My wife noticed they had a traditional turkey dinner on the menu for $36 and ordered it, I had fish and chips which they charged $39 for. Our order came out in a timely matter and I have to say the food was absolutely horrendous. The turkey tasted like it was soaking in brine before being served, the stuffing was so dry it was eating slightly moist croutons. The salt on the green beans was visible and the mashed potatoes tasted like Uncle Ben’s. We had to ask for the cranberry sauce and had only one bite as the amount of cinnamon in it was unbelievable. My fish and chips was more like a fried flounder and fries with only one piece of fish and the panko crust was so salty I needed a second glass of water to get through it. Oh, I also order crispy Brussels and they had so much seasoning or sauce they were soggy. Our bill with no drinks came to over $100 and I have to say this is the first and only time we will go to a Kona Grill.

The most incredibly overpriced food I have had in years. There are so many other options in Huntsville that doesn't make you feel robbed when you see the check after eating sub-par food. On the positive side, we had a great waiter.

Our server was very polite and accommodating. The layout and decor of the restaurant was beautiful. The response time between order and receipt of items was ridiculously long. We waited 30 minutes for drinks to arrive and another 45 for food. The food was overpriced. I would suggest J Alexander or Ruth’s Chris if you want better quality for your money.

Food was great. Service great. It’s a little pricey but worth it other than people with screaming child near us- thankfully they left toward the beginning of our meal. I understand this type of thing is out of the restaurant’s control…

Service was horrendous-place was empty we waited 35 minutes for our cocktails, then another 20 minutes before our order was taken another 20 minutes for appetizers then our food was cold, waitress never came back for refills on drinks-we won’t be back anytime soon-first time we came everything was good
