Nestled in the natural tree canopy of Coconut Grove, our 6,000 square-foot indoor and outdoor restaurant & bar transports guests to Mexico with its sophisticated and artistic design, cacti garden, and outdoor bar & terrace. Koko is always a great choice. I love coming here to enjoy fresh made, high quality and beautifully presented mexican food. The ambiance is marvelous, the lights and decor are perfect and the service is great. It is my favorite restaurant in CG.

The food quality and authenticity is consistently superior at Koko. Skilled servers also add positively to the overall experience. Angel was great offering some great mezcal cocktails with Manojo, a a new addition to their extensive mezcal offering,

We had a great time with the kids. They don't have a kids' menu, but they adjusted well to the options they had. Our waitress, Sofia, was super helpful in finding the best options for our girls. The margaritas were great, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend the skirt steak. 👌🏼

The Oaxacan Old Fashioned, crafted with tequila and mezcal, was absolutely delightful. We savored the Carnitas Presadas and shrimp tacos, both of which were fantastic. The chips and guacamole were decent, but nothing to write home about. The venue offers pleasant indoor and outdoor seating options. The restroom facilities were well-maintained and tidy.

Our experience at Koko last night was disappointing. The restaurant was chaotic, with plenty of staff standing around, yet our water was never refilled. Our food arrived almost immediately after ordering, before the wine, which we had to repeatedly remind the waiter about. To make matters worse, it took over 25 minutes for the dessert to be served. Adding to the frustration, multiple staff members were seen eating at the bar while still on the clock. I also witnessed a bartender remove something from a drink with his fingers—a serious hygiene concern. If the manager would like to verify this, they should review the footage from the inside bar’s right upper camera. Overall, the service was far below expectations, and the restaurant feels like just another overhyped Miami spot with subpar service. We will not be returning.

My wife and I came specifically for the Chiles en Nogada which is only available for the month of September and by far the best chiles en Nogada in Miami!
