One of our fave spots for a great dinner! The food is always on point and the service is exceptional. The miso ramen is out of this world and the sushi is some of the best on the beach! The decor is hip and modern. All around great experience everytime we go!

The service and ambience at Koi is outstanding. They could work on their food. Our bill was $350 with tip so the value really wasn't there. We ordered four green teas that came out tepid at best. We got two orders of the truffle miso soup which was served to us again at a tepid temperature. The woodear mushroom salad was served with very large pieces of woodear mushrooms that should have been cut into edible sizes. The woodear mushroom salad was also served deconstructed and would have been better if it was constructed properly so it could be enjoyed as the chef intended. I got handrolls with eel and tamago. The tamago was not fresh, very disappointing. The biggest issue was the rice. Sushi rice should be a little sweet with a tangy flavor. The balance with the rice was just off. We selected Koi for my birthday. They said Happy Birthday which I appreciate but it would have been nice to receive a little dessert. Anyway, please patronize Koi but manage your expectations.

We are real foodies and were really excited to try Koi as we had yet to find a great sushi restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area. After reading the reviews we booked our reservations knowing it might be hit or miss. Well it was a big HIT!!! Start to finish our server Bella kept things moving and recommending different dishes. We had the filler and lobster special along with several sushi rolls and everything was cooked to perfection and deliciousl. Drinks were creative and staff attentive. We will definitely be back.

First off the food is good, not great - when you eventually get it. Two in our party ordered from the kitchen and had both salad and main courses eaten 15 min before the first sushi appetizer showed up. Then all the sushi came at once. Our server was clueless about the menu and said he doesn’t eat fish so couldn’t tell us anything other than “lots of people order that…”. Same with drinks - “lots of chicks order that one but not many dudes. I usually just order beer.” The hostess was great and did what she could - even ended up taking our drink orders twice when our server disappeared for long periods. Overall horrible service except the hostess. We won’t be going back and certainly can’t recommend.

Everything was OK ( our second visit...brought friends this time); service by Maddie was terrific. However, the beef tatami was horrible. More gristle than beef; out of the 4 pieces I tried ( believe there were 7 altogether) I could only eat and swallow ONE !

This was the second time I’ve been there this month! I am so happy to have a great place to get sushi!! The decor is super cool. I told a neighbor about it this morning and I can’t wait to go back. We particularly loved the sushi donuts and tuna with crispy rice!! I have nothing bad to say!
