Good vibe. Understaffed. Came before a show at VanAndel. Waited an hour for two dinners. One finally arrived 5 minutes before showtime. The other never came. Too bad because it is a cool spot overlooking city and convenient to the Arena. Wouldn’t choose again if I had a time deadline.

Hostess had a line 10 deep. Everyone in line had reservations. Tables were open. She was just walking at a Snail’s pace. Waited 20 minutes just to get a server. Terrible food and overpriced. Waiter forgot refill. We ordered everything at once and asked for the check bc we could sense settling up would be an issue. It was. We had the credit ready when she dropped the bill and she says “I’ll be back.” Laps the place dropping off waters and others food first. I was warned about this place, and I should’ve listened. It wasn’t worth the view.

Nice outdoor setup, comfy. Spacious and well enough apart. I'm grateful they didn't just put a bunch of small tables outdoors and call it a "deck". You actually have room for more than one plate and one drink on the table. It's nice for couples night out with a small group.

Mismanaged, slow service, the staff preferred to talk to each other versus the customers, frumpy staff attire which didn’t match the prices nor the location. The bar tenders strained something for a beverage premix using their hands and it literally dripped through their fingers into the dispenser. Seemed very unsanitary. Will not return.

Food very good. Service was attentive and surprisingly quick for turnaround time on both drink and food orders. Disappointed we couldn’t sit outside due to the rain but a great experience nonetheless .

Our experience was comical at best. We arrived about 5 minutes late for our Sunday 5:30pm reservation and there were a few couples ahead of us with similar reservation times. Once I checked in with the hostess, I asked if we could wait at the bar since our table was not ready and honestly, I could tell she was overwhelmed and did not want to add extra pressure. I was informed that the bar was full but once she did sit a table she made sure to seek me out and tell me I could wait at the bar, asking again what the reservation name was. It was about this time that another couple who had a 5:30p reservation walked out instead of waiting to be sat. We stayed at the bar for a good while but were able to enjoy some delicious drinks. During this time, we did check in with the hostess and were told our table was getting cleaned off and we would be sat shortly. I do want to note that it was because of this information, that we closed our tab; opting not to order another round or order food at the bar. We waited at the bar for a good 15/20 minutes and a bartender even went to the hostess to check in for us. We finally sat around 6:30p, a good hour past our time. From there, we watched the server go to other tables but she did not ever great us. After awhile when we saw the host take another guest to the patio, we asked if she could grab our server. She asked for the server's name and we told her that we still had not been greeted. The server quickly arrived after this and presented us with the menu, saying she would give us a chance to review the menu before ordering. We told her that we knew what we already wanted and proceeded to order our first food item at which time she told us the kitchen was closed (6:40p). We did end up leaving at this point, honestly in shock at the madness. We both have spent years in the service industry and have never heard of the kitchen closing before all open menus have been closed.

Knoop has a cool vibe with amazing ambience. Came for a bite to eat before seeing “Wicked.” Loved the creative plate options - we picked four to share.
