Knife & Spoon is the signature steak and seafood restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes led by Chef Tyler Kineman. The restaurant was awarded a coveted MICHELIN Star in the 2022 & 2023 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Florida.

Resort Casual: Please refrain from wearing athletic apparel and swim attire or cover ups in the main dining room.

Corkage policy: Guests are invited to bring in up to two 750ml bottles with a $50 corkage fee per bottle. The wines cannot be featured on our wine list.

Knife & Spoon is conceived by Chef John Tesar who was called "the single most talented cook I ever worked with" by Anthony Bourdain. Tesar came up as a chef in New York City at 13 Barrow St, Vine, and the Supper Club. He then went on to open two restaurants in Dallas that have been named among the best in the country by Bon Appetit, Eater and Esquire. He has garnered praise from Food and Wine, and The New York Times and is a two-time contestant on Bravo's "Top Chef."

The service at Knife and Spoon was exceptional and attentive. The bakery (bread) was excellent. Me and my daughter ordered the chicken and it was incredibly dry. My daughter left most of hers.I didn't eat most of mine so I had it wrapped, thinking it would be better cold over. Wrong. We eat at steakhouse all the time and my husband's filet lacked flavor and was prepared medium versus medium rare. We enjoyed the souffle. We didn't say anything because we were with my 90 year old Mom and dinner was already 2 hours long.

I am just not impressed overall. Though the service staff did their best to make right some mistakes with complimentary kids’ meals and desserts. Overall, the restaurant and experience is underwhelming. The service staff was decently attentive until after a 30 minute wait for meals for 2 children of our 4 person party. The bread service was generous. Early in the meal service a complimentary Grouper dish from the Chef was a nice touch. Then it was down hill from there. No explanation was given from the 30 minutes we waited for the children’s meals after the adults were served. This was a very long 30 mins for some hungry kids and the bread lost its appeal. We shared our adult meals with the kids while we waited. There’s a decent choice of steaks available but this is not quite a steak house albeit the pricing is considerably higher than some of the best steaks I’ve enjoyed at true steak houses. I had the 10 ounce Filet Mignon. It was a very nice and generous 10 ounces but it wouldn’t rate in the top 5 Filets I’ve had or even in the top 10 steaks overall. It wasn’t very flavorful but it was plenty filling. The Wedge salad was great and was a decent dish to share between two. The Mac and Cheese a good choice as well as a decent accompaniment to share. The venue is a little loud when busy particularly where we were seated. The decor and ambiance a little Fine. The area where we were seated was a rotunda-like room near the kitchen. I wouldn’t recommend this seating location. There are other less bright and more comfortable seating areas. I might consider returning but I would likely insist on sitting in the more dimly lit and comfortable area near the bar.

The food at Knife and Spoon was excellent but the service was even better. We were made to feel very welcome, as if we were guests on a private home. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Our entire experience was out of this world. Everything was above and beyond all other eating establishments. It’s pricy, but well worth it.
