Welcome to Knead, our sustainable pizzeria based in the heart of Maidenhead. Brought to you by husband and wife team Simon & Olivia Perry, become part of the Knead fam and let our staff sling out the very best ‘zas and spritz around. A fan of spice? Sergeant Scoville has you covered with fiery British ‘Nduja, fresh chillies and a drizzle of hot honey. A classicist? Fear not, Princess Margherita is pizza royalty on our menu.

Our lively pizzeria is modest, modern and wonderful, seating 50 comfortably inside and with a relaxed outdoor area for you to enjoy the evening sun with an aperitivo and a slice in hand. Expect banging pizzas, fresh small plates, local beers and a carefully curated cocktail menu.

We’re a short walk from the train station and with Paddington less than 25 minutes away and Maidenhead being served by the new Elizabeth Line, London is on our doorstep. If you’re visiting from the capital, why not make a day of it and visit nearby Boulders Lock, Bray or Cliveden House?

We were disappointed by a first trip to Knead. Service was incredibly slow at the start - our drinks order was taken in a reasonable time frame but we then waited for ages for the drinks to come (they were good when they arrived) and I had to ask for our food order to be taken after quite a wait. The dough on the pizzas - when they eventually arrived - was excellent, and I quite liked the tomato sauce but there was so little topping actually on the pizzas. Things picked up in terms of service as the meal went on, and we were able to take a birthday cake which was great. We had been really looking forward to our meal there and it was disappointing.

Good quality pizza. Flexible menu suitable for vegan, gluten free and dairy free diets. Great service.

Such a good atmosphere and the food was all delicious. Drinks too. Friendly, fun service. Best gelato I’ve ever tasted. Will be back asap!

Great pizza! The best in the area by some margin. Some classics mixed with some more inventive options all sourced with interesting local ingredients. Good drink options and the overall value point really good. Service is pleasant if a little inattentive once you’ve ordered your pizza, but overall an excellent offering.

Still the best pizza in Maidenhead. This time it was a last minute reservation so I had to book do a late-ish time but since it was a warm day I got there early and I was offered an outdoor table which was perfectly fine. Service appears to have improved since the last time I got there.

Lovely food and atmosphere, we would have had dessert but our server forgot about us so we didn’t bother in the end. But overall a lovely experience!
