Located in the heart of Deansgate Square.....

Taking centre stage in the venue, the sushi chefs will serve up an exquisite raw menu featuring a selection of freshly made dishes including black and blue tuna with pickled kohlrabi and squid ink tuille, horse mackerel ceviche and Wagyu beef tataki with crispy shallots.

Traditionally cooked over open flames, the Robata menu includes the finest cuts of Wagyu with king oyster mushrooms, barbary duck breast and mirin chicken yakitori. Those who favour seafood can enjoy a whole sea bass served with red miso and sake, monkfish with clementine. Kentucky fried calamari with matcha aioli and vegetable yasai top of the tempura offering.

*please note there is a cake charge of £20 for celebration cakes brought into the venue.

Beautiful looking restaurant, with a great buzz, live DJ above the bar playing music. Food, stunning. Beautiful selections and great taste! Service, very poor. Arguably too busy for the number of waiters/staff available. Order 1 cocktail, and 1 bottle of beer. Took more than 30 mins for drinks, then we asked for Edamame for nibbling with our drinks as we select our food order, these didn’t arrive until after our sushi! The food was great but overall disappointed due to the service experience.

The food is average we had a 50% off deal which softened the blow. In any case even if it was full priced it wouldn’t be justifiable. The cocktails are below average and again not worth the price at all. The service and ambience is great no fault there. Just a shame that the food doesn’t match up.

All the food was delicious, particularly the calamari and the sauce that came with it. Prices were excellent and even better with 50% off. Will return to try the dessert also.

Made a reservation and wanted to add another person, opentable wouldnt let us amend it so we tried calling kitten. They didnt pick up any calls which were made a day before the reservation. The day of the reservation we tried calling again which they answered after 4 calls. They told us we couldnt add another person despite their incompetence to answer the phone. Also made us pay £40 reservation fee even though we tried cancelling/amending the reservation day before but they wouldnt answer.

food was really delicious and service was excellent my only gripe is the music was really really loud making any conversation difficult

We always visit in July at this time to celebrate a birthday. Fabulous food and drink. Ambience hits the spot ! The majority of the staff on this occasion were so personable but the table service was not as we usually see. We seemed to be a nuisance. However we will still return next year.
