Very disappointing New Year's experience at KITTEN. Service was rushed, food was average, the dragon rolls were a highlight, other courses were disappointing, particularly the nigiri platters, pork & chicken skewers, and dessert. Tokyo iced tea was delicious however lychee and sake martinis and the spicy margaritas were largely undrinkable, extremely strong and unbalanced flavours. Glass of bubbly to start and end the meal were a nice addition but beyond this there was nothing to make the evening feel special. It was quite a cold welcome from staff, with no hellos or anything, and throughout there were no attempts made to even say what the courses were, if we would like anything else, water etc - really poor. There was no New Years Eve countdown or anything to mark midnight. The DJ kept playing right through, entirely missing the start of 2025. Expected far more from KITTEN, especially for the cost. Will not be returning and wouldn't recommend for a special event.

We enjoyed our visit just maybe choose something diff next time as my partner didn't like the raw sushimi but overall was v good

Amazing food, loved the waitress very helpful on giving advice on the best food/ drinks. Music/vibe really good. Only issue was felt the woman on the front desk wasn’t very friendly/welcoming. But overall great.

All was very good and just only that reception lady was very very bad service for us Let us not ready for us dinner that mood was very down But very thing was very good for us

Came to kitten to celebrate a very special evening! The vibe and ambience was amazing, it’s definitely the best designed restaurant I’ve been to in Manchester so far! The food was good with a few bits of food falling a little short for value however overall was very good! Extremely pleased with the service it was in fact the highlight of our night we had an amazing waitress named Eilee who was just amazing in every aspect definitely made the evening complete!

I have been to kitten many times before and I normally really enjoy the food and my time there. However I find the service is never really very good and it really lets the restaurant down. Because I enjoy the food so much, I still choose to come back. However this time, the service again wasn’t good and the food also really let them down. When we first ordered our drinks we were both given a Coke Zero instead of a normal Coke, a simple mistake, so we let the waitress know about this and it took two other members of staff coming over with bad attitude and making it difficult to provide a replacement when a Coke Zero was never ordered. Also, when our food did arrive, I feel like because it was the 50% off the food wasn’t as fresh as normal, the sushi tasted a bit stale and the only item I really enjoyed out of the 6 plates things we ordered arrived significantly after the other plates. Because of this I asked the server if I could take that home with me, she said this was not allowed. I have never been refused this in a restaurant before and I think it’s disgusting that food I have paid for I am not allowed to take home. Food that is simply going in the bin otherwise.

grill scallops too salty, fried prawn avocado rolls too salty, salmon sashimi not enough fat, scallop sashimi is 1/4 per piece, it should be whole scallop count one piece, there just have five (1/4) pieces for one portion and taste not fresh enough. grill otopussy too chewy and a bit salty. smoke salmon roll is no taste and the salmon is fishy. If I paid £30 per head is reasonable for the food quality, but I paid for £50 per head and half full is not worth it.
