Created to deliver the best in food, drinks and vibes to Chicago, IL, Kitchen + Kocktails is here to please. A dynamic comfort food restaurant at its core, Kitchen + Kocktails will focus on nicely plated comfort foods, including flavored fried chicken and lobster tails, shrimp and grits, creative waffles and other southern classics made with a twist.

No physical menus available. Only online menus. Ugh. In addition, the online menu is sparse with the details on some dishes so it is not useful. Not for kids either. F-word and other curses in the music playing. That's fine, just a note.

First time here & it wasn’t too bad. Ive heard mixed reviews prior to attending. The waitress was a little inattentive, there were a few times where we were actually looking for her. The food took about 45m to come after placing the order. I ordered the catfish & grits, my mom had the jerk chicken soup & two piece jerk chicken which were all tasty. I just think the waitresses need to be more attentive, there were tables near us that we notice lacked service as well.

Had a great time! Love the aesthetic , the food was delicious.. Dress to Impress and be prepared to purchase pics from the photographer that comes around! ❤️✌🏾will definitely come back, did not disappoint!

Issues: 1. Food is terribly salty 2. Service levels are inadequate despite having an abundance of labor on site 3. Drinks are prepared far too sweet 4. The mandated 20% gratuity is completely necessary as the service is abysmal and servers would inevitably receive nothing I would not visit again, primarily because of the service. I’m not sure how/why it takes literally 15 minutes after seating to be greeted. Nor do I understand why, after food delivery, did I not see my waitress for 1/2hr. Lastly, as a soul food restaurant, I don’t understand how they can plate and deliver “soul food” without also making hot sauce readily available. Very disappointing…

I dined for the first time and the food was absolutely divine! I mean every bite sang on my tongue! Our server was kind on the surface. However she upsold a mango martini with Don Julio and neglected to mention each drink would be $50 plus dollars a drink. Although we easily paid the bill, we were in complete shock that 2 drinks would cost so much when we get a drink with Don Julio. Note I am NOT a drinker but know other reputable restaurants only charge half of what we paid. These drinks cost more than your delicious entrees. Disclose your upselling prices please as you made a first date for two out of towners unpleasant. If you dine here know they may also include an automatic gratuity for two diners or more.
