We found Kitchen American Grill last summer, and have been intending to return since that time. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere, pub-like but I wouldn't just call Kitchen American Grill a pub. It has a diverse menu, but overwhelming. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and clearly proud of the house and certainly the product. If possible this is a "make reservations" restaurant. It's of moderate size but has become so popular, I sincerely doubt walk-ins would be lucky enough to get a table.

Such a great place. Everything from the craft beer selection, to the menu (including specials) to the staff - all really good. It can be a little loud at times but that just means everyone is having a good time.

Decent new local place. Food is good, but that and drinks (beer) feels a little overpriced. Have been a few times and service has been good. Warning - Don’t get seated near the bathroom.

This was our 3rd time to Kitchen American Grill! Food was very good, they are very busy! Choice of on tap beer was excellent, my favorite Maine Lunch! Would recommend visiting!

Instead of doing gifts for the holidays, I decided to take my family out for a nice dinner. Kitchen was the perfect location for us as it was a reasonable distance for everyone in our party. We started with a round of drinks. I had the pear cosmo. While it wasn’t sickly sweet - I think it lacked the juicy pear flavor I was looking for. The purée tasted canned? The other drinks were standard. For appetizers we got the calamari and the mixed sausage grill (brats & kielbasa served with soft, salty pretzel bites). These both were delicious, had great texture and were accompanied with sauces. For an entree, I had the prime French dip. The meat was cooked a bit more than I would have liked for “medium” but again, the flavors were on point. We all enjoyed the fries which were well seasoned and light/crispy. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Kitchen. It was an unexpected find for the area & we will be frequenting again. Good for families or a date night. For 6 guests, in total we spent less than $300 including tip, so there is great value here as well!
