Kitchen 86 is a local favorite for indoor and outdoor dining on El Paseo in the heart of Palm Desert.

Featuring a deliciously eclectic menu, exceptional service, and a contemporary vibe.

Indulge in our ever-changing menu that includes seafood, steaks, lamb chops, salads, pasta, house-made curry, ramen, wood-fired pizzas, and shareable small plates.

We serve breakfast and brunch daily with bottomless mimosas and plenty of delicious menu items including vegan and gluten free options.

Service was slow and took awhile for drinks to come. Food was good as usual. We come here every time we are in town. We like the food but the service needs to be stepped up.

We sat on the patio, and the ambiance was incredible. It was a busy Saturday night and the staff handled everything perfectly. The food was delicious as was the presentation. I will be back

First time here and enjoyed it. Would go back. We ordered 3 items to share- Boom Boom Shrimp which was amazing- best item we had. Also ordered the Brussel Sprouts with bacon which was also very good. We had the Astarita Pizza on Cauliflower Crust. It was okay but nothing standout. Not sure if it was due to the different crust or not. I'd like to try another pizza of theirs but on regular crust. My husband insists on the low carb stuff whenever we can and they do offer it. Loved sitting outdoors watching the people. The staff was good but just little things missing like asking if the meal is ok right after starting the meal, taking more time necessary getting the bill, not asking if we'd like another drink. Just little things. Would we go back? Yes!

We love the place! Whether we sit outside, sit inside at the bar, inside at a table or in front of the musicians, the atmosphere is always pleasant, everyone on there is pleasant and friendly, It's our go to place!

Unfortunately, this was not good. We sat for 20 mins before we even met a server. When I finally went to the host station to get things moving there was another person behind me who also jumped in and complained about the same thing, they had been waiting for 30 minutes for a server. Our food took over 40 mins to come after we ordered it, (over an hour from the time we sat down. Turned out our server had waited till our appetizer hit to put in our entire order despite us asking for it all at once (due to the initial delay in even having our orders taken.) 3 out of the 4 things we ordered were just terrible cheaply made food. Way over garlicky/salty/dry. From when we sat down outside we were chilly and yet it took them over 35 minutes to honor our request to get the heat lamps lit. I now have a sore throat n the next day. This place is just not the upscale experience and service that the prices would suggest. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Pizza delicious as was the Chicken piccata Boom Shrimp to start didn't disappoint Great service (Garrett server with the watchs) Attentive not obtrusive Music at the piano ( younger guy - very good) Just loud for where we were sitting ( one row away)- hard to visit with other couple

food was so-so, I write that as one in our party liked their food (Pizza). Had the Ramen, broth was weird tasting but OK, very skimpy on the meat. Music during dinner was AWFUL!! if you go, sit outside, unless you enjoy off key music.

We ate outside which was nice. We ordered a salad and pizza to share. We requested the salad as a first course followed by the pizza. They brought the pizza first. The Kale Caesar salad was nothing interesting: just greens and a few tiny croutons. No shaved Parmesan, anchovies, etc. we ordered the pizza with barrata cheese but there was not much cheese. Very ok.
