The staff were excellent, attentive but not overbearing. We left the food and wine selection in their hands and they nailed it. Nice pace kept everything flowing, didn’t feel rushed. The wines were all really delicate and matched the food perfectly. Looking forward to going back.

As first time visitors it was very frustrating to go to a wine bar with wines listed on a chalkboard but no prices. We had to ask the price of many options - which ranged from $15 to $33 per glass! You would want to know in advance if paying that amount for a glass of wine. Our waiter didn’t know all the prices and seemed inconvenienced to have to supply them for us, then he left and didn’t return. Luckily we had another waiter who stepped in and she was great. Even so, it still took nearly 30 minutes to get a glass of wine in hand, and the place was less than half full with 3 staff on. We might have ordered 2 drinks in the time so not great for business. The decor is lovely and the street does need nice bars. Please put the prices on your chalkboard and consider some staff may need extra training on customer service.

The food is exceptional as is the service and a lovely atmosphere space. Really interesting flavours, great sharing plates. Just go.

We had a delicious meal at Kirbie’s. The Japanese Scallops were full of flavours and we soaked up the gorgeous juices with the house flatbread. Also had Octopus with Nduja sauce and apple salsa, Mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes and fried sage, Fish with agrodolce, fried capers and lemon - all first class.

We missed James but its reincarnation as Kerbie did not disappoint. Highly recommend for your next catch up with friends. Food sensational and different. So good we forgot to take photos!
