James Beard semi-finalist for Best Chef Texas and Top Chef Season 19 judge Kiran Verma, considered the ‘godmother of Indian fine dining,’ has created world-class north Indian cuisine at her eponymous restaurant. Come and enjoy good food and great service in a fabulous environment.

Signature dishes include rack of lamb with aloo methi, Chilean sea bass with mango chutney, chicken tikka masala and a vegetarian thali. Specialty cocktails range from the Jahangir Lassi (house-infused pineapple rum, passion fruit, mango lassi, pistachio) to a Chai Old Fashioned to a Cardamom Basil Gin & Tonic.

The restaurant serves Afternoon Tea every Friday, Saturday and Sunday - a four-course Indian and English tea experience. Chef Kiran has created her own chai blend.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Dans son restaurant éponyme, Kiran Verma, demi-finaliste du James Beard en 2023, sert des plats inventifs qui associent des saveurs et des techniques indiennes traditionnelles à des ingrédients locaux. Les résultats sont tout à fait uniques : caille texane tandoori avec chutney de figues ou salade de fromage de chèvre et de betteraves avec noix de cajou masala, par exemple. As a widely respected individual within the whisky world for putting India on the map of the world of single malts, Mr. Ashok Chokalingam, Head Distiller, was awarded with ‘Icons of Whisky’ and Whisky Ambassador of the Year in 2012 and 2016 by Whisky Magazine, U.K. He was also awarded with Icons of Whisky Master Distiller / Blender of the year 2022 in the Indian chapter by Whisky Magazine, U.K. Ashok will be tasting us through all the different Amrut expressions that evening and telling us more about the Amrut distillery and portfolio. He is in Houston from India for one night only.

The entire Kiran's crew went above and beyond to make our celebrant's birthday special. The experience from start to finish was unique. Pedro's service was one of a kind. We will be back!

The overall experience was absolutely delightfully. We were celebrating my dear friends birthday, who wanted authentic Indian food. This friend is originally from the UK, so Kiran’s offered many unique options on their menu especially with tea service at the end of dinner. The staff made excellent suggestions and very knowledgeable about the menu. I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to visit again in the future.

Wonderful evening dinner at Kiran's Saturday evening. My 3 guests were dining there for the first time and the restaurant did not disappoint. From the delicious meal to the great service from Saige, we all had a delightful time.

I’ve been going to Kiran’s for the last 10 years and each time the service and food has been phenomenal. Kiran is extremely personable and always available to greet and connect with her guest. If you have not been to Kiran’s, now is the time…you will not regret.

I always enjoy eating at Kirans, even at its original location on Westheimer. Our favorites are the reliable classic dishes found in Indian restaurants- chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, chana masala , delicious breads and samosa and pakoras.

It was good except they did pack all Food we told them. Also order was incomplete and waiter was arguing . Then she went and checked and came back with food . Would request them to be more organized .

Everything was excellent, from the service to the food selection! The smoked duck pizza was excellent, as was everything else. But be prepared to pay, we are a family of four with college kids: it was easily $400. Would definitely recommend it, especially for a special occasion.
