Kintan est le premier restaurant de style yakiniku à Londres. Yakiniku, ce qui signifie littéralement «viande grillée», est une manière Japonaise d’apprêter le barbecue coréen et l'un des styles de restauration les plus populaires au Japon. Étant japonais, les restaurants Yakiniku emploient un peu d'ingéniosité pour fournir des grilles de table sans fumée avec extraction de fumée souterraine de sorte que le goût de la nourriture reste dans votre assiette et hors de vos vêtements.

Kin Tan Holborn is the ideal place for lunch or dinner. They have a variety of menus that cater for different occasions such as happy hour, lunch menu, Friday menu etc. I went with another for the happy hour in which the server suggested a different deal which worked out cheaper than expected. Food wise, everything we ordered from the menu was amazing (we opted for the chicken karage, spicy pork, beef bibimap, short rib, rice and miso soup. All food was impeccable! Highly recommend!

Can’t fault the service, we arrived almost an hr before our booking time, but only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Table service was quick and efficient, the food was excellent . All seasoned in a way I wouldn’t know how, delicious. Very reasonably priced and will certainly recommend. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is small but important . The loos were not very clean , I can see there is work being done (no urinals currently in the gents), but lots of dust visible which ideally could have been cleaned. I asked to use a loo after our meal whilst waiting for a cab upstairs and was told by staff that there wasn’t one and I’d have to go downstairs . I later found out there is a disability loo upstairs . I would think given that I’m a pensioner, the limited facilities downstairs and no signal to keep track of our cab, I could have been directed to the upstairs cubicle This doesn’t take away from the dining experience , but did make a difference between perfect and not quite perfect

Went to the restaurant or for Valentine’s and the all the ingredients are already fresh and it was great fun to cook on the table. The flavours were amazing and we both had enjoyed this is one of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time we would highly recommend.

This was my first Japanese BBQ restaurant in London and it will be hard to beat, no complaints at all. Food was very good, service was excellent and very affordable

Every time I come here it’s a great time. Especially their lunch deal. Delicious, well seasoned and great portions. Love it every time

The food was great, but the service and overall experience were lacking. The KBBQ had a limited selection, and the server was unfamiliar with common Korean dishes like tteokbokki. Service was slow, with missing table settings and drinks, and the staff struggled with clear communication. Orders were incomplete, and dishes arrived not in order with long wait times between them ( meat, rice, lettuce, starters then soup). Imagine finishing the meat and then rice arrives and nearly finishing that and lettuce for your meat finally arrives, servers weren't attentive but nice.

Our staff might not be knowledgeable on tteokbokki as that is a Korean dish after all while we are a Japanese BBQ Restaurant. I apologise for the inattentiveness of our service and hope this doesn't put you off from visiting our restaurant. We will endeavour to improve.
