Average. Food pretty forgettable. Service forgot salt and pepper. Felt bad asking for spoons. Long way to go even once you get to the building for not much. Look for way out.

Unfortunately I think we were there on a terribly off night. It was Juneteenth and you would expect to have more than one person waiting on tables. The poor woman had a full room with 20+ people and kitchen and bar that was not keeping up. Then when they 86’d the short rib things came crashing down and the kitchen never caught back up. We tried to stay and hold out but the food came out about an hour+ later and we had to run to concert. We only managed to eat a few bites but the mains were not really worth the time we spent waiting. Manager gave us a refund which was the right thing. Maybe next time I’m in Montgomery I’ll give it another go, it looked like it had a lot of potential.

We were first timers for dinner at Kinsmith . We gave it a try celebrating a birthday. The staff and waitresses were very accommodating; allowing us to choose our own table. Drink recommendation by the waitress was excellent. She made it herself. The food was really good. We both had the fried green tomatoes and pesto salmon cooked to our taste. Food portions were good as well. The only negative was the parking. We used the valet service and the car was returned with fingerprints on the rear side panels of the car, the passenger and drivers doors. I found that strange to say the least. I would not use that service again. Car records audio and video.

Wonderful setting of this new fun and funky eating establishment.! It’s a great place for a special dining experience or for a dining experience with that someone special! The menu is eclectic, the food delicious and the service more than you could ask for! So get ahead of the crowd and head for Kinsmith for an enchanting evening!

Wasn’t informed of items that were part of a dish that was no longer available. Not offered refills of water or any other beverages. Server was not very accommodating.

I should have known when the only table for 9 I could find at such late notice was this one and there was probably a reason. First of all, the wait staff was very nice and she tried to overcome the issues that apparently were with the bartender, the kitchen, and the management. I realize we were a large party but one hour after being seated we still did not have cocktails. When the first three cocktails did arrive, they were dirty martinis MINSUS the olive juice. When brought to our wait staff's attention, we were brought one small glass of olive juice and we had to pass it among the three guests. Two guests ordered Pino Grigio and were served Pino Noir. One ordered a lemon drop martini without sugar on the rim and it came with sugar. One guest ordered sparking water and was served still water three times. Other than some bread brought to the table, we had no food--we never ordered appetizers and entrees because we saw no need to do so. There was no management on duty. There appeared to be one bartender for two dining rooms. We were told the kitchen was backed up. Wait staff had not been properly trained.

It wasn't our favorite of available upscale dining in Montgomery. Service was acceptable but you expect a little more at this price point. Menu is limited but usually not a problem howver, one entre on menu is a 30 day aged NY strip but they were substituting a ribeye that night for the same price, $45. My issue with the substitution was that there is no way it was aged 30 days. I suggest other options such as City grill, vintage year or Ravellos

On a Saturday night some of the spring mix in the salad was slimy. The burrata for the saladwas replaced by maybe four tiny bits of goat cheese. I had the chicken liver appetizer—rare guilty pleasure—but it came out a bunch of tasteless, over salted crumbs on a tablespoon of mashed potatoes. Biscuits were doughy and tasteless. My husband’s “seafood risotto” was a few boiled shrimp placed atop a small serving of rice that had no resemblance to risotto. The menu’s New York strip was substituted with ribeye for the same $45. After seeing the menu online, I was excited but ended up disappointed. Valet to park cars was missing. Understaffed servers. It’s in a Marriott hotel and tasted like corporate food, warmed over and sad. Looked like corners were cut everywhere. We won’t be back.
