Lovely unusual food combinations. Beautifully presented. Great service and catered for those on a gluten free diet and food intolerances.

A gem of a restaurant … We ordered off the pre theatre menu - all had something different and everything was yummy Only disappointment was that a couple of things had run out but we were offered alternatives from the main menu Staff delightful Good value for money Bonus was to read that profits go to enhance music education Well done Kino we will be back !

If you're not a fan of offal or have a more traditional palate, this might not be the place for you. We wouldn’t have booked had we known how much offal was on the menu. A tasting menu full of liver dishes and pastries made from blood wasn’t our cup of tea, though others around us seemed to enjoy it, so it may just be a matter of taste. One major issue was that the staff didn’t seem to know what they were serving. On a tasting menu, where explanations are key, they simply dropped the food in front of us and walked away, leaving us confused about what we were eating. The warm duck fat mousse served as a pudding was particularly off-putting and made me feel a bit queasy. Overall, it was not the experience we had hoped for.

We were hungry and excited when we arrived. Sadly this experience didn't live up to expectations. Didn't make sense why we all ate every course in sync, we arrived on time but had to wait until all we're seated for first course. As vegetarians we were usually last which was frustrating. Huge wait (40+ minutes?) between third and fourth course with no explanation. Staff were friendly but didn't try to explain the wait. No need for sorbet three times and mushroom twice on the same tasting menu. Over three hours in total and left Pastry club unsatisfied. Disappointing.

We were excited to try Pastry Club but we ultimately left disappointed. The six courses were technically very good but we felt the menu wasn’t balanced correctly. A few of the courses were very similar, all being game heavy paired with a berry of some sort. Game can be a strong flavour and quite controversial so it was a brave choice. We also felt there was a long wait between the courses too, meaning we were there for three hours. The staff however were excellent and the food was beautifully presented.

The food was lovely, starter just right but main course was huge, probably too much really. Waiter told us to order sides which we definitely didn't need. Service was very slow. 40 minute wait for mains maybe? Atmosphere fine but a bit like an empty warehouse, like a Premier Inn breakfast room! (We were seated in the lower section so maybe it was better up the stairs)

Very disappointed. I had the cheese and tomato dumplings with broth. They were not dumplings more jelly cubes. I was not provided with a spoon to eat it and had to request one. My partner had the pate en croute which had the appearance of a slice of pie. More of a terrine than a pate. It was served very cold. For main I had king fish which was a special. I googled this to find it was a very large mackerel from Mexico area. It was delicious. However it would have been useful to have the specials written down as remembering them was not easy. My partners meal was delivered and he was told his potatoes would arrive in a few minutes! Consequently he was faced with just meat to eat or to let it go cold. The potatoes were clearly not freshly cooked. Overall disappointing and not worth the price.

It was really quiet for a Friday night which is the opposite of what this place deserves. The food was imaginative and brilliantly delivered. The ham and parsley croquettes at 80% parsley was a real surprise but it worked. The pork chop was stunning and the desserts well worth leaving room for !
