    I’ve eaten at Kino before, but this time I was disappointed. I chose the veggie main ( even though I’m not veggie) If the waiting staff knew what the dishes on the menu were and could explain to customers, that would help. As it was I had no idea what to expect. The food seemed to be un necessarily complicated ( especially the veggie main option with tofu and the fish cakes ) We orders a side of new potatoes which wasn’t necessary - again the waiting staff should be able to advise on that. Hope it was just a blip!

    Absolutely loved this! we ate from the pre-theatre menu and all our choices were really delicious and can't fault it. Certainly to be revisited and recommended. The Staff were helpful polite and knowledgable, having tried the food they were serving. The main course option of Tomato braised Seitan NAvarin ( VG) was amazing, truly.

    I had the mussel fritters which were very salty, I like salt but this took it to another level. It needed some citrus or something to cut the salt down. I also ordered the flat iron steak, the steak was cooked well though was a bit chewy. The highlight of the dish were the layered potatoes. I also expected the gem lettuce to be hot but it was cold. Overall a very rich dish. For £32 I expected better. We ordered the Chilean Merlot which was lovely. My partner ordered the gazpacho and the tikka masala pie, she enjoyed both with no real qualms with it apart from the crust was over. Our server was lovely and is a credit to the restaurant. She was attentive and chatty but knew when to stop talking and leave us to the meal. Overall 6/10. I probably wouldn’t go again only due to the food not being up to scratch.

    Service speed and efficiency was good, waiter training and uniforms would be something I would improve, for example a £40/£50 bottle of wine was just poured without asking to taste and opened before bringing to table, this is basic stuff. The food was very good, the letdown was pastry club offers no menu prior and is announced at the table when arriving, we had to skip one of the main courses as it did not accommodate a dish without fish, chicken for example, we did note our requirements on the booking prior. Overall the food was well thought out, tasty and intriguing, this is the reason the venue will succeed. Front of house team requires management and improved training / presentation. Kitchen team are clearly all very talented, it was just our dietary problems that could have been better.

    Went to Kino with my husband and two friends and had a wonderful time from start to finish. We were greeted by wonderful bubbly staff who weren’t in our face but very attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely be back

    Such a lovely experience for my friends 30th. Bread and butter was an absolute unexpected joy, wine carafes were fantastic, food was PHENOMENAL, and the two ladies who served us were lovely. Honestly just the nicest experience, can’t wait to come back
