Visited KINKA with my 12 year old daughter. We had a great time! The staff was sooo nice and helpful. Food was good and flavourful. We had the kimchi udon, octopus balls, salmon sashimi, miso soup, edamame and black sesame ice cream. When the waitress heard it was my daughter’s birthday, she brought her a matcha cheesecake with icecream at the end of the meal, which made her day. It was an amazing experience and we’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Toronto 😊

Great place for dining and for groups. The entire dinner experience was amazing. It met past any expectations I had. The staff was fun and friendly too. It was a pleasure to eat there and hopefully will do so again when in Toronto again.

When I saw this place and their menu, I was a little skeptical bc authentic Japanese izakaya doesn’t serve bibimbap. Still went in and tried though. Food was good, sashimi was fresh. The only let down we had was their wagyu carpaccio and wasabi octopus. Those should’ve been served raw, but they were cooked. I thought they were authentic but it’s still a fusion. Service was good nonetheless, servers were attentive despite being super busy. Portion was on the smaller side, but not an issue because we were able to try different food. Would return if I’m craving for some fusion food.

First visit and enjoyed our evening meal outside on the small deck. We over ordered as we didn’t know how big the serving were. It was all excellent though, and had a little leftover to take home. Will definitely go again and try other offerings and balance it out so that we don’t order too much.

Unique experience as a Japanese bar. Everyone greeted us when we arrived and left. Very authentic surroundings so don’t expect a big wine list. Took our two grandsons and they really enjoyed the food.

Very fresh sashimi, hamachi kama was delicious as well as the takoyaki and karaage. Happy hour pitcher special was a really good deal too.

The food was good! However, the seating was very cramped and obstructed the emergency exit, posing a safety hazard. I recommend the restaurant consider adjusting the seating layout to be more spacious and ensure the emergency exit remains accessible.

Good ambiance with the wood interior. Counter seating is a cool opportunity to see the kitchen staff at work. Since it's a single room the noise levels are a little higher but not unexpectedly so and I could easily hold a conversation. Food was excellent and came quickly, but service was a little slow to get to orders since they were busy, but again that's understandable and not unexpected
