   We regularly eat at The Kings Head and love everything about the pub. The food is always good, the staff are friendly and attentive. We love the atmosphere, the pub layout and the log fires add to the comfortable experience.

   Very pleasant and welcoming place. Server was patient, helpful and welcoming, but service was erratic (tried to take our order about a minute after showing us the menus, then didn't come back for ten minutes). Food was all ok, ranging from really very good (the pies), through bog standard (the boiled veg) to rather disappointing (the baked alaska, which was nothing of the sort: not baked, not even warm, just a factory-produced meringue case with some ice cream inside). And in a county that produces several outstanding ciders, it was a bit disappointing that the only one they sold was a rather bland one from the other side of the country.

   The first time at the Kingshead, when we first arrived and was shown to our table, we were a little disappointed but they managed to find us another table. That was a little bit more suited. Choice of beers and wine were good although wine was very expensive. Not a massive menu, but what we did have was excellent food and will definitely come back again.

    Meal was excellent, the staff were helpful and friendly. I do suggest the staff take turns on sitting on the chairs one was rickety another one had a hollow in the seat that made it uncomfortable to sit on . Both chairs were changed immediately on our request.
