Best hummus and focaccia bread ever. Steaks delicious and cooked to our requirements. Will definitely return.

Best steak we’ve ever had! Broccoli and Mac and cheese was also amazing! If we lived in Brighton we’d be back definitely

The service at Kindling was exceptional, the staff were lovely and the food arrived promptly after ordering but was fresh. The food itself was incredible with all three courses being of a high standard and tasting amazing. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance and was not noisy at all. Overall we enjoyed our experience thoroughly and will be returning.

We had the wagyu steak, sweet potato fries and skinny fries with peppercorn sauce and the lemon thyme butter. Everything was cooked well, but sadly everything was overseasoned and very salty. The steak and fries all had the same very herby salt mix on them, and so the overwhelming flavour was salt, with the other flavours second. Atmosphere was great, service also good. Would have been nice to be able to choose between the bar stools with a view of the kitchen, and the tables.

Arrived early. Which was our fault. Asked to come back for our booked time. Arrived for our time booked. Table still not ready and asked to sit at the bar. With menus thrust at us. No effort to take care and take a drinks order. Extremely noisy. I’d made request regarding it being my Wife’s birthday. No mention or effort made regarding that. Big delay between Starter and main. Food nice but I’ve had better for less money. Would not recommend…..

Hi Pete, I'm sorry to hear that the service at Kindling wasn't what you expected - obviously not what you would wish for a special occasion. We strive to provide excellent customer service, and we apologise that our staff fell short in this instance. It was a busy shift on Sunday, which can make the noise level higher than on quieter evenings. We're also looking to improve the bar waiting area. We want to offer our sincere apologies for letting you down during your visit. I will reach out to you privately to try to make up for it. We were in a rush, the staff catered for it very well. Food came in good time and was perfect, would definitely be happy to dine again
