Waited a long time for our table and then the food was slow coming out, over half an hour for one coarse. However, food was fantastic and good value.

Second visit to this relatively new restaurant in the heart of Brighton. Love the concept of the restaurant. Our food was cooked in an open kitchen and the smell was amazing. The brisket & jalapeño croquettes for starters were delicious and my ribeye for mains was cooked perfectly and had that amazing charred open fire flavour. All washed down will a fabulous pinot noir, prefect for the steak and nice and light for what was a hot day. Will definitely be back!

Superb steaks and burgers. The restaurant was wonderfully patient and accommodating considering 2 of our party were late and one cancelled. The staff were amazing, attentive and friendly, oh and decent cocktails too. I would love to go back as I'm pretty sure I recall seeing cote de beouf and wagyu on the specials board which sounded delicious.

The restaurant looked lovely, nice vibe. The service and staff very attentive. Unfortunately the steak was seasons with an incredibly large amount of sea salt. We had to mix macaroni with the steak to dull it down. It was such a shame as we had high hopes.

It was our first time eating at kindling, what a fantastic meal we had. We enjoyed a beautiful t bone steak cooked to perfection. The burratta salad was amazing, full of lovely flavours. The croquettes are incredible. The service was brilliant, too. We will definitely be back again Thank you Emma x

We decided to try this restaurant after seeing such good reviews on social media but we were disappointed. The service was very slow and we felt almost like inconveniences. We asked for a negroni after seeing them on the kindling instagram as these are my partners favourite drink only to be told that they don’t make these so my partner settled for the old fashion that came overly smoked and was disappointing in taste. Food took a very long time to come and we were left disappointed after trying to order the special which was wagu only to be told they had none and when our food did arrive certain items lacked flavour the steak was lovely and melted in the mouth with a nice hint of garlic however the fries had no seasoning on and just generally tasted quite greasy and not fresh the brioche brisket roll I ordered was sensational and I would definitely give the restaurant another go just to order that, the mac and cheese was okay we found that it lacked depth and had brown bits of basil just thrown in throughout which was not appetising we would have ordered more drinks but found ourselves having to flag waitresses down to do so and to even ask for the bill no one came to check on us throughout the meal to ask if we needed anything overall would not be rushing back to this restaurant.
