At Kindling we believe that great steak should be for everyone. Located in the heart of Brighton, our restaurant offers a laid-back dining experience with great value, quality beef cooked over charcoal and live fire.
Our open kitchen lets you see all the action up close. Witness the skill and passion of our team as they cook your steak to perfection.

We focus on quality and value, creating a casual environment that makes everyone feel at home. Kindling is perfect for casual business lunches, family get-togethers and catch-ups with friends.

Our menu is simple but spot-on. It features grass-fed British beef and delicious cocktails, wines, and beers that perfectly complement your meal. On Sundays and Mondays, we serve our Sharing Roast for two alongside our regular menu.

Stunning decor. Outstanding food. Lovely drinks. Service ever so slightly lacking but the delicious food makes up for that. Highly highly recommend!!!

It is a good job the food was so good here, as the service was, in parts, disappointing. I arrived 15-20 mins early on a Friday night. I do understand that the restaurant was busy, but to be asked to go away and come back later because the table wasn't ready didnt feel very welcoming. I asked to sit at the bar instead, as it was cold, dark and I was on my own, so didnt want to just wander the streets, I was given drinks menu and a seat at the very end of the bar. No-one came near me to even offer a glass of water until the table was ready about 10 minutes later. I finally received a menu just before my friends arrived and I had to ask for some water. After that things improved considerably. One of us had the burger and two of us had the sharing cote de boeuf!! Whilst the burger looked amazing, I have to say the beef was so delicious I would have eaten it a second time. The creamed spinach was fabulous. Deserts did disappoint either, with the mince pie ice cream being so tasty with the sticky toffee pudding. Well recovered team - I will be looking forward to going back.

Food was tasty, steak a bit overcooked for my request of very rare. We were sitting next to 2 babies who were fairly vocal but the pounding background music was still too loud. Would have been good thanks have been offered another table as they weren't full. Loos are upstairs which isn't great.

Lovely variety of steaks, we went for the T-bone sharing platter between 2 of us and it was just right. Then for dessert, a lovely waitress called Demi helped me set up a surprise for my other half which made our evening. Also we had the mango daquari cocktails which were amazing!

Found this restaurant by chance after looking at places to eat, and oh wow. The place itself is just a beautiful setting inside, the staff were all very very attentive, friendly and knew the menu well. Great recommendations!! We had the sharing roast, with additional garlic butter and blue cheese sauce. Firstly, the portion size was huge, the meat was undeniably the best I have ever had and I am still dreaming about it now. The gravy was just unbelievable, the veg was perfect, potatoes crispy but fluffy and all the flavours were so incredible. The sticky toffee pudding was mouthwatering, perfect and soft. Our whole experience here was impeccable, and I cannot recommend it enough!!

Excellent food and good service. Only downside was the 2 items my wife and I ordered were not available! Lamb chops and Venison burger. The substitutes were great but still a shame.
