It was Valentine's day. Hostess staff was overwhelmed, but service was good and so was the food.

I've always loved going to Kimura restaurant because of the food but, last night the food was salty and I couldn't enjoy it, usually would even get a to go box not this time.

Overall, this place is fine. Food is decent; service was good. Japanese steakhouses have been doing the same shtick since the early 80’s…at least. And I don’t think the interior of this place has been touched since then. I believe the whole mall area may be redeveloped, so I understand limiting the renovations. But AT LEAST switch out the carpet.

We will be going back with friends. It is pretty noisy but the experience is well worth it.

Food was good, restaurant looked nice, I felt the food could have been served at a slower pace as once the chef started to cook it all was served to us very fast.

This is not the Kimura we know and love. Our chef was awesome, specially with the kids but the menu changed, there’s no longer happy hour. The steak was fatty and they didn’t give out the fun hats for a birthday. The wine was awful, on the bill it said Whiteheaven but they poured out of a giant wine bottle and it was terrible. They were out of beers and when we ordered Sake, it was watered down. Lastly, when one of the members of our party asked why 20% was added, the server rolled her eyes and made a sound like she was so annoyed. Mind you, we cleaned up the table twice and had to put dishes to the side ourselves. I am sad to leave this review because we loved going there but it’s definitely not the great place we knew.

While I’m glad the chef made the evening enjoyable for the kids, I regret the issues with the menu changes, food quality, beverages, and service. To address your concerns, we are currently reviewing our Happy Hour offerings, and kids’ menus are being reprinted to enhance the family dining experience. The quality of our steak, wine, and sake is being investigated to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Food was good but missed the shrimp appetizer no longer served. Our ‘cook’ was not very entertaining which was disappointing since we had our GC with us.
