Kiln is a small restaurant in the heart of the Ouseburn. We make everything ourselves and push to be better than the day before.

We serve brunch every morning from 10am to 4:30pm.

Our Mediterranean & Middle Eastern inspired tapas style menu is served from 5pm to 10pm.

Our great coffee, homemade cakes and cocktails are served all day - and we’re dog friendly!

Nice vibe and really friendly staff. Food is good but portions are tiny and not good value for money. Had the lamb kebab and wasn't even served with any sides

my second visit and ample to choose to delight the appetite without repeats although so indulge with the Potatoes, and the Geffen salad both delightful. the Steak and the Chicken kebab are good choices which send the taste buds wild.

The service was top-notch, fairly busy but not noisy and loud. The food was delicious, in particular the banana bread. We are coming back next week.

Usually I’d give Kiln 5 stars easily, but but sadly the service was lacking this time, waiting for our booked table too long, forgetting to tell us the wine we ordered wasn’t available, and then after ordering a replacement having to remind them three further times even when our food had arrived. All of the usual staple menu items (hummus, pita, labneh, olives) were delicious as usual. But the beef dish was lacking in beef flavour and overpowered by the heat of the sauce, and the potatoes weren’t as described on the menu - elements of this dish missed off etc. also the dishes always arrive as/when ready which is of course fine - but serving all our dishes without the pita is just silly, when the pita is actually integral to eating them all…. Anyway, I will of course go again as I really hope the success of this lovely place isn’t starting to cause it to take its eye off the fundamentals…. Good service and tasty food is always key….

A great experience, menu was explained and where required, level of ordering suggested, This was spot on too. Great choice of alcohol and reasonable prices. Had a dessert as wanted to sample. Have the Chocolate Granache or Baklava Cheesecake. This really will not be the last time we go. Advice to book to avoid disappointment
