Welcome to Kestrel, a new venue where celebrated chef and TV personality Richard Blais imparts his Left Coast take on American classics, signature cuts + coastal catches in a fresh, California- modern space that evokes the energy of surrounding flora + fauna. Perched atop the entryway stairs at Indian Wells Golf Resort, the restaurant reveals an airy, earth-toned dining room and expansive bar that invites in soaring views of mountain peaks, verdant fairways and ombre sunsets. The outdoor terrace, complete with open-air bar and table seating, frames the perfect social setting to enjoy the region's culinary style and natural allure. Very pleasant lunch outside with Matt our waiter taking good care of us. Food was tasty with interesting preparations on popular food picks.

Delicious food. We loved everything that was served to us. The halibut catch of the day fish was phenomenal! We will definitely be coming back. Love the decor of this restaurant too.

Last night was our second time. A week ago at the soft opening we were the first table to be served. Chef Blais talked with us. What an incredible man. We wish you the very best in your endeavours. We throughly enjoyed our experience and came back with our sons last night. The whole experience was exceptional.

Coleslaw wasn’t brought with the burger. Service overall was slow. The server didn’t seem well trained. The lava cake was just chocolate sauce with a little crust on top. Not particularly tasty,

Overall compared to when it was the Vue it was much better. Service was very good and professional. Food was much better but there were a couple of items that could use some tweaking. Shrimp cocktail and ahi tuna appys were great. Caesar salad was excellent. We each had an old fashioned cocktail before dinner and it was very good. Entrees were okay. Papardelle and chicken parm were good but nothing to write home about. Pasta has too many clumps of spinach and not enough seasoning. Chicken parm was good but not outstanding. This was all part of their soft opening so hopefully some tweaks to these dishes will help.

So excited for this innovative chefs restaurant to be here in the desert! The cocktails are great, much like Ember and Rye they have a lovely twist. The ambience for lunch was lovely , great scenery and even tho filled with quite a few louder than normal golfers fresh off the course it was a good sound! Food was great , had one little glitch but they fixed it immediately. Of course they are getting used to the menu and the prep for some sophisticated dishes , so I’m sure they will work out the kinks! The egg rolls and ahi tuna were delious and service staff was very kind and always ready to assist ! Great spot for lunch , next time we will try it for dinner service !! Thanks Richard 🩷

All three salads were so good! My husband loved his prime rib. The halibut was a small portion but very tasty in a curry broth. Our waiter, Tommy was extremely accommodating. Ambience was lovely
