Welcome to Kestrel, a new venue where celebrated chef and TV personality Richard Blais imparts his Left Coast take on American classics, signature cuts + coastal catches in a fresh, California- modern space that evokes the energy of surrounding flora + fauna. Perched atop the entryway stairs at Indian Wells Golf Resort, the restaurant reveals an airy, earth-toned dining room and expansive bar that invites in soaring views of mountain peaks, verdant fairways and ombre sunsets. The outdoor terrace, complete with open-air bar and table seating, frames the perfect social setting to enjoy the region's culinary style and natural allure. We strive to create a mind-blowing experience founded on impeccable service for every table. Staring with our signature tableside Liquid Nitrogen Margarita and custom-made Chips & Guac.     Food and service was first class. We enjoyed the crispy Brussels sprouts, Steak and frites and sea bass. All delicious. Server was very helpful. Going back again soon for sure.

    We arrived and were promptly seated with our reservation. The hostess and team up front were very friendly. The manager was also friendly. The egg roll appetizers were hot and crispy and not greasy. The wagyu burger cooked medium was a little dry, and the bun was good but huge. The Brussels sprouts were the star of the meal. I was disappointed that a Richard Blais restaurant didn’t have any kind of molecular gastronomy. Our waiter service was spotty at best and when we wanted anything he could not be found (until we spotted him at the hostess stand). Another waiter finally stepped in to help when we asked. It was an ok experience but I was really expecting more.

    The six of us had a wonderful dinner. The food was really good. The arepa appetizer with ahi and mango yolk was particularly memorable. Our server, Mo, was excellent and provided just the right amount of attention. We’re looking forward to going back!

    Ordered the Club sandwich. Piled too high with turkey, bread too hard, shoe string fries - why bother?, coleslaw way too much vinegar, waitstaff didn’t bring coffee or Dijon mustard as ordered - had to ask again. Carrot cake a hot mess - too heavy like a bread served with a scoop of date pulp that was not visually appealing. Would only go for apps and drinks again.

    We were seated and not attended to for a while, but once the server came to our table we had good service. All the food was very good, but the Steak Frite was small and very fatty. The buffalo mozzarella salad was outstanding. Initially the noise level was very loud, but got much better when a large birthday table left.

    Really want to love it, but it was just nearly okay. The the drinks took forever to arrive, we can see them ready at the bar counter but, they made it to our table 15 mins later by our waitress, already water down. The food was good… but arrived almost cold to our table. Maybe the restaurant was understaff? I love and I’m a big fan of Richard, but my steak was cold - hard to get around that. It took a very long time for our food to get to our table.

    Beautiful remodel. Good choice of menu items. Service good but waiter was trying to cover too many tables as the place was busy however not noisy. We will good back as we had a good time.

    Beautiful renovation of the restaurant, but it took forever to get drinks, order, and pay the bill...and the restaurant was half full. Interesting menu ranging from bar food to fine dining, with South Pacific flavors.
