European food inspired by Cornwall. We showcase the best of Cornish ingredients, employing classic and modern techniques of French and Italian cuisine from our chef, Gabriel Verdi.

Our lunch menu is a more relaxed affair set in our deli, offering brunch and lunch made up of tasty local produce and a chance to taste some of the award-winning, artisan produce that we retail in store.

I didnt appreciate having to sit in a row...meant that we couldnt have a conversation as a family. Ate then left in 45 minutes.... Food wasnt great....had much tastier for less money.

Thanks for the review Sara - the window seat is one of our most popular and as a table of three, it's very communal. The food has had great reviews since we opened in November and your bill came to £87 - which is around £30 a head. There aren't many places in Cornwall you'd get better value or quality, in our opinion. You had 2 homemade focaccia, brown crab and caviar cones, burrata, scallop sashimi, lobster ravioli, pavé potatoes, pigeon and beetroot risotto - not a bad haul for £87 - and you had no drinks other than filtered water. Again - thanks for the support.

Really good food presented beautifully. Excellent and interesting choice of dishes. We were looked after very well. I would highly recommend a visit to this innovative restaurant.

The dining space is relaxed but small.. dishes were creative, well presented and very tasty but very small! Did not feel like we could share easily.. lobster ravioli delicious but only one ravioli, sea bass portion was extremely small.. with a higher price point the chef clearly has talent but perhaps shareable portions would be preferred.

In a small unassuming little deli shop you can get a couple of small plates for dinner. They are exquisitely prepared and the flavours are phenomenal. Lobster ravioli and black garlic with an amazing lobster bisque was a favourite. The local Helford blue cheese turned into a foam was brilliantly paired with a beetroot risotto, something I never would have thought to do. And who puts smoked chestnuts and rum caramel together for dessert?! But it works. Not too big but I was pleasantly full! Rich but not overdone. Dessert was not too sweet either. A good range of wines and attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit.

This young chef has an excellent understanding of his ingredients and what works with them. It is a very small eating area so I would suggest booking in advance. We will be back soon

Has potential but felt very tightly packed in, in terms of seating and there were only two tables occupied when we were there. Food was pretty good with the sea bass and scallops being best. The steak was very chewy and was served with mushy peas which was odd and the potato dish was just greasy. Service was okay but not very welcoming, knowledgeable or attentive.

Hi Morwenna - we're sad you didn't enjoy your meal with us. We had 20 people seated in the wine bar next door for a tasting last night - all of whom had the short rib (the "steak") and all of whom said how tender and lovely it was - which is very strange. The mushy peas is a pea puree - I think mushy peas are usually made from dried marrow fat peas and are usually served in a fish & chip shop. The potato dish is pave potato - which is made using cream and butter, so is designed to be rich and decadent. We also pride ourselves on our level of service - we always welcome guests but allow them the space to have a lovely meal and not be fussed over too much. We are a small indpendent restaurant with 16 covers, and feel this is a little unfair in such a public space.

The food was excellent and the service perfect. The only thing that prevents me giving a 5 star rating is the presentation. We assumed that somewhere serving small plates would be expecting at least some of their diners to be sharing the dishes. This seemed to cause some surprise, but that wouldn't in itself have been a problem, except that the 'small plates' were themselves served on enormous plates with a small depression in the middle. Our order completely filled our tiny table making manoeuvring, and sharing difficult. It seems a very picky thing to make a fuss about - the food really was excellent - but it was a huge detractor from the enjoyment of our meal. The plates seemed pretentious, and a little bit dated in their design, quite overshadowing the food. If the food is good, you don't need fancy plates.

Excellent small dishes with interesting combinations of ingredients. Order of serving is a little random which is not ideal. Service very attentive and enthusiastic. Overall a very satisfying meal
